💜 And just like that… our 2026–2027 Hope Adventures year has begun!

Yesterday, our Hope Adventures kids came together for our first session of the year, and we started with something important: building OUR community.

Together, they created their Hope Adventures Community Promises—their ideas about what they need from one another to make this a place where everyone can feel safe, supported, included, and comfortable being themselves.

And somewhere between the letters, stickers, snacks, conversations, and laughs, they were already doing exactly what Hope Adventures was created for: connecting.

At Mara’s Babies, grief may be part of what brings our children together, but it doesn’t have to be the center of every moment they share.

There is room here for friendship.
There is room for laughter.
There is room for new memories.
There is room for joy. 💜

This is Hope Adventures. And we’re just getting started.

At Mara’s Babies, we believe children and teens deserve spaces where they can simply be themselves while navigating life after the death of someone significant.

Sometimes that means talking. Sometimes it means creating, laughing, trying something new, or spending time with other young people who understand that life can look different after a loss.

That’s why we create opportunities centered on connection, belonging, and hope.

There’s more ahead this fall, and we’re excited to share it with you. 🦋

Mara’s Babies, Inc. was honored to attend the 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration hosted by the Ivy and Pearls of Southern Maryland (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®), Charities, and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated® – Alpha’s of Southern Maryland Foundation.

This powerful event was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate history, culture, and progress while connecting with the community we proudly serve. Beyond the celebration, we valued the chance to engage directly with individuals running for Maryland state and county offices, gaining insight into the leadership shaping our communities.

Events like this remind us of the importance of unity, awareness, and continued investment in our future.💜🤍💜🤍
