Just met with The Rustic Theatre and Mary Beth to see how our lineup of locals is looking for our LOVE WINS celebration … it’s gonna be FUN! The lineup of musicians is especially notable … we’ve got quite a few PS GAY MENS CHORUS members singing … and word on the hill is that they have quite a lineup of Dolly Parton hits ready for us. I can’t wait! 😍🥳🤩

Another forgotten record is heading out to become something entirely new.

This one is being shipped to an OFF THE RECORD participant—and we have absolutely no idea what it will look like when it comes back. That’s the point.

🌲✨ MORE LOCAL ART. MORE IDYLLWILD CREATIVITY. ONE GREAT CAUSE. ✨🌲

The donations keep coming! We’re excited to share another group of locally created artwork, jewelry and artist-made treasures donated for Soroptimist International of Idyllwild’s Annual Spaghetti Dinner & Basket Festival on October 7.

The Golden Pine Gallery:
Julianna @ GOLDEN PINE GALLERY original and limited-edition artwork by Tim Johnson, Sharye Marx, Wesson Rife, Barbara Sage Spiegel and Michelle Katz, a beautiful “IDY” bronze clay necklace by Carol Munro, original artist greeting cards by Aurora Levy and Timothy State, plus the wonderful “Your Rock My Heart” stone artwork by Julianna Poldi

Together, these pieces represent more than $1,300 in donated local art and goods — and they’ll all help support an important community cause. 🎨💛🌲

🌲 DEFENDING OUR WILD ROADLESS FORESTS — IDYLLWILD PUBLIC TOWN HALL 🌲

Our forests are more than the beautiful backdrop to life in Idyllwild — they are part of our community, our local economy, our wildlife habitat, our recreation and the character of this mountain we call home.

Join our mountain community for an important Public Town Hall about the future of America’s wild roadless national forests.

📅 Monday, September 21, 2026
📍 Idyllwild Community Center
⏰ 6–8 PM
🎟️ FREE — RSVP required
🥗 Free food & drinks

The evening includes a screening of Why We Need the Roadless Rule, followed by a panel discussion featuring perspectives from conservation, recreation, wildfire, business and Tribal leaders, with a public Q&A.

🌲 PLUS — FREE GIFTS FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES! 🌲

The first 40 people who submit a public comment to the U.S. Forest Service USDA Forest Service before the newly extended October 6 deadline will receive a free gift including locally donated goodies from Idyllwild-area businesses including 🌿Wild + Craft , WILDLAND | Multi-Use, Elevated and Wax Apothecary ™

Come for the conversation, learn what’s at stake, make your voice heard — and take home something special from businesses that love and are inspired by our mountain environment.

The federal public-comment period on the proposed rescission of the Roadless Rule has now been extended through October 6, 2026, giving our community additional time after the Town Hall to participate.

🌲 Our mountain. Our forests. Our community. Our voice.

Celebrate one of Idyllwild’s most beloved local traditions! 🎉🐾

Mayor Max & Vice Mayor Meadow are turning 4, and the whole community is invited to their birthday celebration at Mountain Paws in the heart of Idyllwild.

📅 Saturday, September 5, 2026
⏰ 12:00–3:00 PM
📍 Mountain Paws — 54380 North Circle Drive, Idyllwild, CA

Bring the family, friends — and your pets — for an afternoon of free food, entertainment, face painting, rock painting, Deputy Mayor certificates, Mayor Max ties for children and pets, a silent auction, and more. Plus, keep an eye out for special guest of honor Cash the Llama! 🦙🎂

It’s a wonderfully Idyllwild kind of afternoon: community, local businesses, mountain-town fun and plenty of four-legged friends. If you’ll be visiting Idyllwild for Labor Day weekend, add this celebration to your plans and spend some extra time exploring the locally made goods, shops, galleries and small businesses around town.

🐾 Tag someone who should come celebrate Mayor Max & Meadow!
