"We're here tonight for young people and the need they have to access the arts," Lisa Oliver, the recipient of our Creative Visionary award, said at last night's Arts Gala at the Wychmere Beach Club. "Every artist begins somewhere whether it's their first drawing, their first music lesson, a first role in a school play, a first teacher who sees potential. For many students, those opportunities aren't guaranteed. Financial barriers can prevent talented young people from participating in programs that can shape their futures and transform their confidence."
Last night, nearly 250 people came together to not only strengthen our creative economy, but to give more children on the Cape access to opportunities to benefit from the arts in meaningful ways that can shape their lives for the better.
We're so grateful to all who helped make last night a success and for not only investing in the arts, but investing in the next generation.
