We ❤️ Woods Tree Service! 🇺🇸 Not long ago, the halyard on our flagpole broke, stranding a flag at half-mast. Woods Tree Service to the rescue! All it took was one phone call and a couple of hours, and they had their lift at the top of the flagpole stringing new rope. Woods also takes care of our trees and we highly recommend them.

Next time you see Matt McLerran (an Eagle Scout), Jacob (a former member of Troop 114), or Taylor (who has zero fear of heights), please thank them for us!

Troop 114 celebrated a fantastic year with their spring Court of Honor last night.

These two young men are brothers. This is Eagle Scout Samuel Gray's last Court of Honor, as he leaves for the US Navy in just a few days. And it was Timothy's first Court of Honor, but undoubtedly not his last.

🍨 🍦 Don’t forget to enjoy some stellar ice cream this week! Thursday, 3p-8p, in the Josey Lodge parking lot. Red Bird Creamery donates part of their proceeds to us, so you’re supporting our scouts while you enjoy a sweet treat. Win-win! 🏆

🍪 Did you know chocolate chips were invented completely by accident?!

Back in the late 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield, owner of the Toll House Inn in Massachusetts, added chopped pieces of chocolate into cookie dough expecting them to melt.

Instead… the chocolate held its shape, and the very first chocolate chip cookie was born. ❤️

Honestly, that may be one of the happiest accidents in dessert history. 😂

So of course we have to celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day this week at Red Bird Creamery… and let’s just say we MAY have a couple special flavors planned. 👀
