To kick off the summer, the Wildlife Society invites all SHSU students and alumni to participate in our Weekly Wildlife Wrap-up! Every weekend, we will post a link in our story that takes you to our photo circle, where you can submit your wildlife-related photos from the week.

Whether itā€™s a squirrel climbing a tree, a bass you just caught, or a kangaroo hopping by, we want to see it all! At the end of the summer, weā€™ll compile all your amazing shots into a recap video to celebrate how active SHSU students and alumni are in the world of wildlife.

We canā€™t wait to see what you discover this summer!

Join us for a fishing day at the back ponds at Gibbs Ranch! This will be a time for everyone to take a break from the stress of finals and spend some time outdoors. Please bring your own fishing gear to join the fun! For directions to the fishing pond at Gibbs, weā€™ll meet at the front of the Ranch and then follow the path to Pasture 15 together. As the event date approaches, a pinned location will be provided to assist navigation. Sign up in the GroupMe. We look forward to seeing yā€™all there!

Our spring Hog Harvest and Easter egg hunt were a great success! Thank you to all the teams that participated in the competition and everyone who joined us for this yearā€™s egg hunt. Your support has contributed not only to our Wildlife Society but also to conservation efforts as a whole. We would like to extend a special congratulations to our winners!
Main pot:
1st Place: Triple L (81 hogs).
2nd Place: P4 Outdoors (74 hogs).
3rd Place: 777 Outfitters (30 hogs).

Heaviest Hog:
P4 Outdoors (308 lbs).

Heaviest 3 Stringer:
Triple L (Combined weight of 803.2 lbs).

Heaviest Coyote:
LC Swine Reapers (37.4 lbs).

To the members who gave up part of their day to help us with this event, please know that we appreciate you and all that you have done!
