Alumni Spotlight: Spencer Flach

We are excited to highlight Spencer, a proud graduate of our Culinary Program, who continues to inspire us with his journey and growth since graduation.

Spencer shared that he is most proud of proving to himself that he is capable of learning new skills and turning a hobby into a meaningful career. Through the program, he gained not only valuable professional skills, but also increased confidence that has carried into both his work and personal life.

When reflecting on his experience, Spencer described the program as “a key that unlocked many doors.” One of his favorite parts is that even after graduation, the program remains a continued source of support and connection.

Since completing the program this spring, Spencer is now officially employed at Dash In and has embraced new opportunities in a field he truly enjoys. He credits the experience with helping shape both his career path and personal development.

We are so proud of Spencer and excited to see all that he continues to accomplish!

One thing we love most about our Culinary Program is that graduation doesn’t mean goodbye. Our students will always be part of our alumni network, and we love welcoming them back into the kitchen! 💚

Earlier this week, several alumni joined us to help prepare snacks for the Community Harvest Network volunteer event with Republic Services. Together they used the skills they learned in the program to create fresh fruit cups, homemade granola bars, trail mix, and charcuterie cups for volunteers serving our community all day long.

It’s always incredible to see how the skills our students develop not only help them grow personally and professionally, but also create meaningful impact right here in our community. We are so proud of our alumni and grateful for their willingness to give back!

🥜 Trail mix
🧀 Charcuterie cups

We hope everyone enjoyed the treats after a full day of hard work serving the community. Thank you to all the volunteers making a difference today! 💚
