Our Child Advocacy Centers across Indiana are a community, and today one of our fellow CACs needs our help. đź’š

Recent flooding in Madison County significantly impacted Kids Talk Child Advocacy Center, leaving their office closed until further notice. Despite everything they are facing, their work hasn't stopped. Kids Talk has already resumed services by partnering with other Madison County agencies to provide temporary spaces where children can safely report abuse and neglect.

At McKenzie's Hope, we know firsthand how important it is for a child to have a safe, welcoming place to be heard. We also know how incredibly generous our community is when we ask you to support the children and families we serve.

Today, we're asking you to extend some of that same generosity to our fellow CAC family in Madison County. đź’š

Kids Talk is working to rebuild while continuing to serve children who need them right now. Their original post below includes an Amazon Wish List and a link for monetary donations. If you're able to help in any way, whether by purchasing an item, making a donation, or simply sharing their information, we would love to see our community rally around them.

Different counties. Different CACs. One shared mission: being there when a child needs us most. đź’š

Kids Talk today resumed services as a safe place where children can report abuse or neglect. While our office is closed until further notice, we are partnering with several Madison County agencies who are providing temporary space. đź’—

In the meantime, our Kids Talk staff would welcome any assistance! 🤝

We’re excited to introduce another one of the dedicated members of the McKenzie’s Hope Board of Directors. Nathan is passionate about helping make sure children have a safe and comfortable place after experiencing a traumatic event.

When asked what has been most meaningful or rewarding about serving on the board, Nathan shared:
“Meeting people who have been positively impacted by McKenzie’s Hope.”

We are so grateful for board members like Nathan who give their time, experience, and support to help McKenzie’s Hope continue making a difference in the lives of children and families in our community. 💛

Just a quick reminder, while we love seeing your child's first day of school pictures, be mindful of the information that you are sharing along with it!

Don't get us wrong the first day of school pictures are very heartwarming, but it’s important to think about what details you’re sharing, especially on those chalkboards. Posting your child’s full name, age, school, teacher, and grade could put their safety at risk. A simple change, like just showing their grade or the year, can help protect your child now and in the future."

Over the past couple of weeks, the McKenzie's Hope team has enjoyed being out in our community! đź’š

Thank you to everyone who supported us at our Culver's fundraiser and stopped by the Huntington County Goat Association milkshake booth during our shifts at the Huntington County 4-H Fair. We always appreciate the opportunity to connect with our community and share more about our mission.

We'd also like to recognize all of this year's 4-H members, especially those celebrating 10 years in 4-H. Thank you for your dedication and the positive impact you make in our community!

Skip the cooking and let Culver's handle dinner on Tuesday, July 21 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM! đź’š

When you dine at Culver's that evening, a percentage of your purchase will be donated to McKenzie's Hope to support our mission of preventing child abuse and providing hope and healing to children and families in our community.

It's an easy (and delicious!) way to give back. Grab your family, invite your friends, and enjoy your favorite ButterBurger or frozen custard while making a difference.

We hope to see you there! đź’š
