Heart break today. This is a momma cat we were called for in Huntington. She had just had her litter of six kittens, but the property owner she had them at wanted her gone. She was looking a little rough, injured behind both ears, on top of her head, fur a little thin and missing around the base of her tail and a few more older injuries on her torso. This girl had been through it and then some. We brought her and her six kittens in and somehow managed to get her healthy again. What an awesome momma, did such a great job pulling through for her little babies. She was able to be handled not long after being brought in, so would have been considered friendly i guess. And she and the kittens were not able to be released back where they were caught. Keep this in mind. It will prove to be important later. She passed today coming out of surgery to be spayed. She wasn't rescued to be adopted. She wasn't rescued to make money. She was rescued because she needed help and had nowhere to go. Good job momma ! Rest easy. See ya soon.
