Call us - (304) 523-9587, ext. 307 Western Regional CASA serves ten West Virginia counties – Boone, Cabell, Lincoln, Kanawha, Putnam, Mason, Jackson, Roane, Calhoun, and Wayne. On any given day in West Virginia, nearly 7,000 children are living outside their home, either in foster care or institutions. Many are victims of abuse or neglect that wind up in court through no fault of their own. Imagi

ne what it would be like to lose your parents, not because of something you did, but because they can’t—or won’t—take care of you. Now, into these children’s lives come dozens of strangers: police, foster parents, therapists, social workers, judges, lawyers, and more. Hopefully, one of these strangers is a CASA volunteer. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system. They stay with each case until it is closed, with the child placed in a safe, permanent home. Western Regional CASA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, and age in the delivery of services, volunteer opportunities or employment/hiring practices.
