Rain or shine, cold or wet—God’s people still need to know they have not been forgotten. ❤️🌧️
Tonight, while the rain poured down over
Louisville, we packed up our tubs with hot meals, loaded up the wagon, and took the church beyond four walls and straight onto the pavement.
We walked under the dark highway overpasses, climbed wet church steps, and sought out the ones tucked away trying to stay warm and dry.
When you walk up to someone holding a warm plate of food in the chilly rain, their eyes tell you everything. But to us, this will never be just about passing out a meal.
It’s about being the hands and feet of Jesus. It’s about stopping, looking a child of God in the eyes, and reminding them that Heaven sees them.
The question on the back of our hoodie carries the entire heartbeat of this ministry: “How can I pray for you?”
Right there on the wet concrete, the Holy Spirit moved. We held cold hands, bowed our heads in the rain, and laid every burden, every hurt, and every heavy heart at the feet of Jesus. God didn’t stay inside a comfortable building—He came down into the broken, messy places. And that is exactly where we belong.
Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” 📖
Our hearts are completely overflowing tonight. We serve a living God who leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one, and we are simply honored to be His willing vessels.
Thank you to everyone who keeps this mission covered in prayer and faithfully supports our weekly outreaches!
