World Changers Huntington World Changers has been coming to Huntington, WV since 1998 working on people's homes. We have worked on almost 400 homes. About 300 youth & adults attend.

🏡World Changers is Returning to Huntington in 2027!

The City of Huntington is excited to once again partner with World Changers to help eligible homeowners with exterior home improvement projects.

Volunteers will be returning in June 2027 to assist with projects such as:
âś…Wheelchair ramps
âś…Deck repairs
âś…Fencing
âś…Handrails
âś…Exterior painting
âś…Landscaping
âś…And other qualifying exterior improvements

If you are interested in applying, now is the time to make sure your Municipal Service Fee and Refuse Fees are current. Being in good standing is required to qualify for the program.

🌎❤️ Welcome, World Changers! ❤️🌎

This week, we are incredibly blessed to welcome 26 volunteers from World Changers to the Huntington City Mission!

World Changers is a faith-based service ministry that brings together volunteers from across the country to put their faith into action through hands-on community service. Their mission is simple but powerful: to share God's love by serving others and strengthening communities one project at a time.

Over the next several days, these dedicated volunteers will be investing their time, talents, and energy into improving our buildings and grounds, helping us create a safer, more welcoming environment for the hundreds of men, women, and children who turn to the Mission for shelter, meals, hope, and healing.

What makes this especially meaningful is that these 26 individuals have traveled from different places, left the comfort of home behind, and chose to spend a week serving others. Their willingness to roll up their sleeves and answer the call to serve is a beautiful reminder that compassion knows no boundaries.

To each member of World Changers: thank you. Thank you for your servant hearts, your hard work, your generosity, and your commitment to being the hands and feet of Christ. The impact of your efforts will be felt long after this week is over, and countless lives will be touched because of the work you are doing.

Please join us in welcoming these amazing volunteers and thanking them for choosing to spend their week helping Huntington City Mission continue its ministry of hope.

Together, we are changing lives—and with friends like these, we are reminded that there is still so much good in the world. 💚
