Last spring, students from Chaminade Julianne initiated their Wildflower Power Capstone Project. They prepared the land behind the newly designated Monarch Rotary Park on Rip Rap Rd., which was constructed by the Huber Heights Rotary Club many years ago. The implementation of native plants was highly successful, with over 15 Chaminade Julianne students participating in the planting of 200 native specimens. Kaniyah Taylor-7th grade, Kali Taylor-3rd grade and Reina Reynolds-7th grade from Huber Heights, along with Kendra Taylor, Phillip Reynolds and Donovan Taylor spoke to club recently. All three teammates from the Huber Heights area have qualified to compete at the AAU Junior Olympics which will take place in Iowa 8/1-8/8. The Huber Heights Rotary Club is proud to introduce its new president, Ken Herstine. As a member since 2023, Ken has consistently demonstrated his commitment to service, further exemplified by his role as Board President of the Huber Heights Senior Center.

We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Chuck Doran for his exemplary leadership as President of the Huber Heights Rotary Club for two terms, 2022/23 and 2025/26. Chuck's active involvement in the community is notable. He's also a partner of Far Hills Development LLC, which operates several Lee's Restaurants in the Dayton area. Thank you, Chuck, for your tireless efforts.
