Such a sad and emotional morning today in Westbury as yet another young man, whose whole future lay ahead of him, was murdered in a senseless shooting before school started this morning. John Donne said it best: "Each man's death diminishes me, For I am involved in mankind. " We have to do better...we need stronger deterrents for any gun offense. We may not be able to get the guns off the street, but if carrying a gun illegally or having a gun while committing an offense had EXTEMELY stiff penalties than maybe these punks would leave their guns behind. There have been NO consequences for way too long and too many of our children have paid the price. My heart breaks for this family; for the mom and grandmother who will be bearing flowers not for homecoming this weekend or for his graduation in May, but as they lay him to rest. Prayers for the whole Westbury community. 🙏❤️🙏 ,one purpose
