A.M.OR- Amigos of Mexican Orphans

A.M.OR- Amigos of Mexican Orphans We are an aspiring non profit based in Houston, TX helping an orphanage in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. In Mexico, an orphanage is known as "una casa hogar".

Our mission is to help the private orphanage, Amor Para Compartir in any way we can. We raise funds that we provide the orphanage to use the way they best see fit. In the past we have paid insurance on the van they use to transport the children, we have bought a freezer, and paid some utilities and bought some food. Amor Para Compartir (not our organization) is a private orphanage. Children are pl

aced in this setting by the government when parents can no longer met the minimum requirements for maintaining a family. The government provides a small monthly allotment of food staples, such as rice and beans, for each child. Other funding is provided through donations and the sales of greeting and holiday cards created by the orphans. Amor para Compartir (the orphanage A.M.OR aims to help) is home to approximately 100 children Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. The staff provides food, shelter and clothing to children ranging from babies to teenagers. College students and professors from the Greater Houston area make sure your donations do the most good. On your behalf, they deliver nutritious food, clothing, and school supplies -- and your good wishes for a better life for each child.
