A heartfelt thank you to New Hope Church and Pastor Andy Bowman for your incredible generosity in planning and coordinating a clothing drive to help fill the needs of our clothing closet!

We’re so grateful for partners who see a need and step up to meet it. We are truly blessed by a community that cares deeply for our neighbors and continues to show up with compassion and generosity.

What an exciting day at Open Door Houston!

Today, we had the honor of welcoming U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary RFK Jr. to our campus as he announced Open Door Houston as one of the recipients of the HHS STREETS grant serving the Houston community.

We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity and for the investment it represents in the work being done to serve individuals experiencing homelessness and help create pathways toward lasting restoration.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today to celebrate this exciting announcement, and congratulations to our community partners and fellow grant recipients!

We look forward to all that’s ahead as we continue working together to bring help, healing, and hope to Houston.

Conversations on a Bench is designed to be organic. Real people, real stories, real questions and honest conversations about homelessness, hope, restoration and what it means to truly see our neighbors.

Stop by Open Door Houston anytime during the 24-hour event. Stay for five minutes or stay awhile. Pull up a seat, listen, ask questions and be part of the conversation.

Can’t make it in person? You can still join us from wherever you are. We’ll be live streaming the entire event, and we invite you to watch, comment, ask questions, share and interact with us online in real time.

We were so grateful to have, Bryan Bullington, the owner/operator of Chick-fil-A Southfork, Chick-fil-A Silverlake, and Chick-fil-A Shadow Creek Ranch with us today to train us on hospitality. At Open Door, we’re committed to serving well and learning how to serve better.
