The nobles of “Historic” Doric Temple No. 76 PHA participated in the 15th annual Juneteenth Parade in the heart of Acres Homes in the Oasis of Houston to commemorate 159 years of emancipation of slavery in the United States.

On June 19, 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached Galveston, Texas, marking the end of slavery in the United States. Subsequently, this day represents freedom, resilience, and the enduring spirit of African Americans.

As we honor Juneteenth, let us reflect on the struggles and triumphs of those who fought for freedom and equality. As men of noble birth let us also commit ourselves to continuing the fight against injustice and inequality in all forms and may this day inspire the nobility across the domain to build a future where every person enjoys true freedom and equality.

The nobles of “Historic” Doric Temple No. 76 and the daughters of Doric Court No. 83 celebrated and commemorated our annual Jubilee Day ceremony at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. This auspice ceremony highlighted 95 years of the existence of the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine Inc. and the 15 years (1914-1929) of litigation brought on by the caucasian Shriners of the Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine despite our Incorporation on November 13th, 1901 under tutelage of 2nd Imperial Potentate Isaac L.W. Holland (Pyramid No. 1 - 1900-1902)

However, our predecessors utilized their time, energy, and ecomonic resources within our benevolent organization to combat the tyranny of racism experienced from our caucasian counterparts and on June 3rd 1929, The Supreme Court confirmed our right of existence as Prince Hall Shriners.
