The Fifth Ward Community Investment Fund (CIF) Grant Program is officially open, and eligible applicants may apply for grants of up to $10,000 to support programs and initiatives that strengthen our community.

For Cycle 1, the funding focus is Workforce Development and Small Business Support.

Are you looking for a way to make a difference in Fifth Ward THIS WEEKEND?

We need volunteers TOMORROW! 💚

Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation is partnering with Clean the Block Houston for a Fifth Ward Community Clean Up, and we’re asking residents, friends, families, organizations, and community supporters to come out and lend a hand.

📅 Saturday, August 22, 2026
⏰ 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
📍 3516 Campbell St., Houston, TX 77026

Together, we’ll help clean up our community while bringing greater awareness to the illegal dumping crisis affecting Fifth Ward.

Here’s what you need to know:
• Cleanup supplies and safety gear will be provided.
• Refreshments will be available.
• Wear comfortable clothing and work boots or sturdy shoes.
• Volunteers will receive a complimentary tree for participating! 🌳

Most importantly, WE NEED YOU!

Bring a friend. Bring your family. Invite your neighbors. Gather your coworkers. Whether you can give the full four hours or simply help us spread the word, you can play a part in making tomorrow’s cleanup a success.

Fifth Ward CRC is partnering with Clean the Block Houston for a community cleanup this Saturday, and we need your help!

Join us for the Clean the Block: Fifth Ward Community Clean Up as neighbors and volunteers come together to beautify Fifth Ward and bring greater awareness to the impact of illegal dumping in our community.
