TRANSPORT NEEDED: Hutto/Pflugerville to Houston within the next few days

Are you traveling from the Austin area to Houston in the coming days? If so, let this cutie hitch a ride! Jasper was just rescued from the shelter after his stray hold and needs a lift to Houston to get vetted and head to a foster home. He rides well in the car, is about 23 pounds, 5-7 years old.

Check out his before and after photos! He will need help getting his skin healthy again but he just be feeling so much better after his haircut, thanks to his jail-breaker Jennifer K!

MSRH is getting a 5 year old, black female mini tomorrow, Thurs 5/7/26. She will go to the vet for her shots and then she will be ready and in need of a foster home in Houston, TX. Mya is 5 years old and 18 lbs of pure love!!! She gets along with all people and dogs. If you can help, please text either June 713-594-1778 or Karen 832-277-4904. She will be ready for a foster either late tomorrow (Thursday) or Friday morning.

MSRH has this darling little girl, Darby Sprinkles, who needs a foster home. She is 2.5 years old, 13 #, and not only sweet but playful. We are needing a foster home ASAP -- she will be ready at the vet tomorrow and if we do not have a foster, we will have to
kennel. Ideally, she would like to have another pup to play with.
She is used to being around other pups.

Meet our April Cutie, Charlie Chaplin

Who could resist those eyes? All the voters in the calendar contest certainly couldn’t! Let’s hear what Charlie’s mom, Joan Abdo, has to say about him:

“Sir Charles, now Charlie Chaplin was adopted from MSRH in April 2018. Charlie was a quiet boy at first, but has since found his voice. He’s been diagnosed with lumbosacral disease in his lower back and receives “puppy acupuncture” every two weeks so he remains comfortable and active. He’s my “velcro dog” as he is the most cuddly Miniature Schnauzer I’ve ever had (out of a total of six during my adult life). He loves golf cart rides, walks, and playing fetch and keep-away with his stuffed animals. He has no interest in fetching balls - he’ll simply watch them roll by! We live on a golf course and Charlie heckles golfers as they go by. He’s a bird and lizard hunter. I have taught Charlie a number of tricks. We practice them every morning after breakfast. Charlie understands many words and is very responsive to cues. Everyone in the neighborhood knows him. Charlie is a wonderful addition to our family.”

Good Morning

This is Bowser, a 6 year old, 15 # mini. We just got him yesterday from an Animal Control agency. He was picked up because he was either hit by a car or maybe another dog got ahold of him and he needed medical attention. He is currently at a vet office and his treatment started. We are transporting him to Houston Vet in Houston and he will have surgery there to repair a hernia and maybe on his back leg. MSRH needs a foster either late Friday (5/1/26) or Saturday 5/2/26.
