Amelia Animal Shelter - Virginia The dogs/cats at Amelia County Animal Control need our help! Please consider adopting, or fostering. This list is more of a guide to what we need.

Amelia County Animal Shelter is located in Amelia County, Virginia. They are a government run facility operated by the Amelia County Animal Control. Our Adoption fee is $10 and all our animals come with a low cost spay and neuter program certificate thanks to a local Non-Profit, APAW - Amelia Patron's for Animal Welfare. Donations can be made in person or by paypal from our website and are always

Our shelter may have been exposed to brucellosis (a contagious bacterial infection) this week, so out of an abundance of caution, we will be quarantined until later next week. We always recommend spaying and neutering your pets and this just reinforces our stance. We will update everyone when we have answers!

This is Beefcake. Beefcake is whatever breed the dog factory put together with spare parts. Olde English Bulldog? Sure. Boxer? Yeah a little dab. Let's throw in some American Bulldog for extra drool. Only a DNA test would 100% identify what all went into the making of this derpy slobber machine. But here's what we do know:
Beefcake is just happy to be here. He likes car rides, toys, and attention. He's approximately 2 years old and ready to go home. Stop by and meet him today!
