Scholarships Awarded to NMB HS Graduates.

The North Myrtle Beach Lions Club maintains a tradition of recognizing local students with scholarships. This year 5 students were selected based on academic accomplishment; interest in pursuing a health/athletic future;community volunteerism, and financial need. Each received a $1500 scholarship.

NMB LIONS MEMBERS RECOGNIZED!!

During the SC District Convention in May, members of the NMB Lions Club were recognized for their years of service.
At the regular meeting of the NMB Lions Club, President Sandy Boggs was honored for great contribution of time and talents to Lions mission.

President Sandy Boggs received the Dr. Franklin Mason Fellowship Award from Club Secretary Nils Regnell. She has admirably served as club president and secretary for several years. Lion Sandy is currently the Guiding Lion for the newly formed Greater Loris Lions Club.

Environmental Service Project
What a great morning at Heritage Shores Nature Preserve! NMB Lions teamed with NMB Kiwanis Club, LR Rotary Sunset Edition, LR Rotary Noon Club, VFW Post 10804 and Auxiliary to pick up trash, to clear walking paths, clear debris away from the water and clean parking lots. NMB Parks and Recs Keep NMB Beautiful and NMB Parks and Grounds Initiative provided the supplies and supported the project.
Lions Club International requested all clubs throughout the world to designate April 17-April 26 as a time to make a difference through Environmental projects. Please visit Heritage Shore Reserve. We hope our efforts today makes your experience more enjoyable.

HAPPY EASTER

Eleven members of the NMB Lions Club spent the morning hiding Easter Eggs at McLean Park for the annual NMB Parks and Recs Easter Egg Hunt.
It was a great morning for the kids, parents, grandparents and Lions.
Thank you to everyone that stopped and “thanked” us for helping with the event. We really enjoy serving our community.

Sign of Spring
We always know it is spring and time for Easter when we find members of NMB Lions filling candy bags for children. The bags will be distributed at the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at McLean Park at 10:00 Saturday morning. The event and the goodie bags are sponsored by NMB Parks and Recreation.

THANK YOU!!
Thank you to Lions Tom and Vicki Hayes, two of our NMB Lions, for providing this beautiful trailer for our club to use in the parades in NMB. I hope everyone noticed it in the St. Patrick’s Day parade and we will be there for the Christmas parade with bells and flashing lights!

HAPPY EASTER
NMB Lions Club donated eight beautiful Easter Baskets to NMB Kiwanis to support their efforts to give every child living at Boys and Girls Home of NC a basket.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from NMB Lions. We enjoyed the parade on Saturday and is was great seeing everyone having a good time.

North Myrtle Beach Lions Club would like to thank the staff, students and parents of the Lil’ Blessings Childcare Center for allowing us to provide vision screening for the children. We were there on Thursday and had a great time.
It is important to screen for possible vision concerns in young children.
