We just broke up a party downstairs. About 40 teenagers were at our pool. We called the cops. We assume some jumped over the fence then let the others in. None of them knew the lobby code, so we know they were trespassing.
Watch out for things like this. They will probably come back.
If they say they are staying here, get their room number. Then at least we can try to figure out if a rental is hosting a party. Most rental platforms prohibit this, and it goes without saying that the owner probably does.

I have been seeing reports of 17 shut down because of an early morning accident that caused a gas leak. I do not know if it still applies, but you may want to avoid 17.

Just what we need! Another week of active weather means daily pop up showers and storms. It won't rain at your house every day, but there will be plenty of action on the radar. By the time NEXT weekend ends, another 2 to 4 inches of rain is likely with some amounts near 6 inches possible.

After what will already be a very wet week, next week may flip surprisingly cool. Shown here is Tuesday afternoon.

If the latest European model trends hold, some areas early next week could struggle to get out of the upper 50s to low 60s for highs — driven by a cool wedge of northeast winds and persistent clouds/showers.

Hopefully we snap out of it quickly, but this pattern is unusually strong for late May and early June. From 90° heat… to jacket weather? We’ll see if this trend holds.

LOOKING AHEAD - Our next chance of rain arrives on Thursday, but will be more typical for this time of the year. Instead of a steady, widespread rain, Thursday will feature the more typical scattered showers and storms. Some spots will get dumped on, others will stay dry.

THE NEW BEACH SIGNS ARE IN!

Myrtle Beach’s new beach signs arrived Tuesday morning. The updated designs are clear, easy to read and highlight important beach safety reminders and rules. Myrtle Beach City Council approved the designs earlier this year.
Installation is expected to begin in the coming weeks at the city’s 148 beach accesses.

Here’s what you’ll notice…

SAFETY SIGN
- A visual of "how to swim out of a rip current." (New!)
- Lifeguard information and emergency call numbers. (New!)
- Highlights emergency and non-emergency contacts.
- Includes the beach flag warning system.

BEACH RULES SIGN
- Highlights the "top rules" beachgoers ask about, based off of feedback from the Myrtle Beach Fire Department Ocean Rescue and Myrtle Beach Police Department Beach Patrol teams.
- Important information concerning sea turtles and what to do if you find a nest. (New!)
- A QR code to the city's "Beach Rules" webpage on www.cityofmyrtlebeach.com. (New!)
- Adds our "top three" non-English languages for direct translation. Spanish and Portuguese and the top two non-English languages spoken in our area. French is the top non-English language spoken by visitors. (New!)
