May was a busy month for the ‘Move Out Days’ collab between Catholic Charities and The Colonel Closet at Nicholls State University. For the second year, volunteers we able to help The Colonel Closet empty dorms of donations, sort what was needed for the students in the upcoming year, and remove unneeded donations to sell to help with food insecurity in our parish. It was a Win! Win! all around!

LOCATION CHANGE: The Office of Community Action will be moving from the Health Unit on Veterans Blvd to the new location on Nicholls Campus at 101 Afton Drive, Thibodaux, LA 70301. The move will take place next week, May 26th – May 28th. During the move, Thibodaux residents needing Community Action can visit our Mathews Government Complex located at 4876 LA-1, Raceland, LA 70394.

The new location at 101 Afton Drive, Thibodaux, will open on Monday, June 1st, 2026.
