The Friends of the Hot Springs Community Resource Center/Emergency Shelter
is committed to supporting the operations of the City of Hot Springs Community
Resource Center/Emergency Shelter (HSCRC). Our mission is to support the
essential services and resources focused on Health, Housing, Education and
Employment to individuals and families in need, with focus on low to moderate
income and unsheltered. By raising funds, fostering community engagement and
supporting the effective management of the HSCRC. We strive to build a
supportive and inclusive environment where everyone in need can achieve
stability and success. Board members:

Emergency Warming Shelter Opening Guidelines: If the temperatures are predicted to drop to near or below 27 degrees and expected to remain that temperature for several hours the Shelter will open. Other predicted factors such as rain, snow or sleet may prompt the shelter to open. Openings will be announced on this page as soon as possible. The Volunteer sign-up sheet will be posted on this page.

Dry dog food donations in any amount are appreciated!

These items or monetary donations may be dropped off at 109 Hobson Ave., Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

2700 meals 👀 Yep, you read that right. An average of 2700 meals are served each and every month at the Community Resource Center! We are so grateful to our donors, volunteers, and staff who make it happen 6 days a week!

Changing your life can start with something as simple as having the right piece of paper in your hand.

Natalie has been gathering the vital documents she needs to open more doors for herself. With these pieces falling into place, employment and housing opportunities become much easier to pursue.

We’re so glad to be part of helping her get there, and we’re looking forward to seeing what opens up next.

Last Monday, our VCK volunteers celebrated one year of feeding more than 100 hungry people at City of Hot Springs Community Resource Center.

This is a monthly opportunity to help our community, and we are happy to continue with the help of our organizer, Gayle Deaton!

Corwin has been working through programs at the CRC, including the Hope Works Litter Abatement Program. Today he had something pretty exciting to show the camera...his driver's license!

That license opens up possibilities that weren’t available to him before, and the timing couldn’t be better. Corwin has a second interview coming up with a local company, and we’re hopeful about what lies ahead for him.

There are a lot of steps between struggling and finding stability, and getting there doesn't usually happen all at once. Corwin has been working hard and we’re grateful the CRC has been able to help him access opportunities to reach his goals.

We're super thankful to everyone who showed up today to care for and connect with our local veterans at the Veteran Stand Down event.

And good news! There is still one more day to take part.

Veterans can stop by tomorrow, 10/3, for help with employment opportunities, health screenings, veterans benefits, housing referrals, legal aid, haircuts, coats, gloves, beanies, and more.

Lunch will also be provided!

9 AM–3 PM at 109 Hobson Avenue in Hot Springs.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post or telling a veteran in your life.

We want every veteran who could benefit from these resources to know they are available and that people are here, ready to help!
