Junior Auxiliary of Garland County is a group of women dedicated to serving Garland County through volunteer work, community projects, and support for children and families in need. Junior Auxiliary represents a serious endeavor by women to be active and constructive participants in the communities in which they live and to assume responsible leadership in meeting community needs. Junior Auxiliary
provides members the opportunity to serve and be a vital part of the community through various service projects in the health, recreational, welfare, civic, cultural, and educational fields. Our Projects Include:
JA Fun Day – A special day of fun at locations such as Family Farm and Mid-America Science Museum for Garland County special needs students in grades K–4. The day includes activities, crafts, snacks, and story time centered around an educational theme. Scholarship – Provides scholarship opportunities to local graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled college students, with emphasis on students pursuing a child-related field. Have a HeART for Art – Educates Garland County students about heart disease prevention through an educational art curriculum, ending with a county-wide art exhibit and competition each March. JA On-Call – Members work with school liaisons to identify student needs that Junior Auxiliary volunteers can help meet throughout the school year. Teacher Grants – Grants awarded to Garland County teachers for classroom needs and projects, nominated through school liaisons. Crown Club – A volunteer organization for Garland County females in grades 9–12 that focuses on leadership development, community service, and volunteerism. Crown Club members work alongside Junior Auxiliary members on service projects and community initiatives while developing a heart for service and leadership.
