The Luck Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering all youth and at-risk youth and families through outdoor education, recreation, and conser

vation. Our mission is to reconnect communities with nature by creating hands-on experiences in hunting, archery, fishing, camping, kayaking, and wildlife conservation. Through programs like our Youth & Family Hunt Experiences and the Women In Nature (WIN) Program, we provide safe, inclusive spaces for learning, growth, and healing in nature. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of outdoor leaders, conservationists, and environmental stewards. What We Do:

Hooked on Learning! 🎣

The Luck Group had an amazing time teaching youth from Charles City Parks & Recreation the basics of fishing! From casting and baiting hooks to patience, confidence and outdoor safety, these young anglers learn skills that can enjoy for a lifetime.

We are proud to help connect youth to nature, new experiences, and the joy of fishing. 🎣

The Luck Group HOOK Program in Action!

The Luck Group was honored to spend time with the youth of the City of Petersburg Builders Hub, introducing them to the fundamentals of archery and angling through our HOOK Program.

Our youth learned more than how to shoot a bow or cast a fishing rod — they practiced patience, focus, discipline, safety, confidence, and respect for the outdoors.

Through hands-on outdoor education, we are helping young people build new skills, discover new interests, and create positive memories in nature.

Programs like this open doors for youth to experience outdoor recreation, conservation, wellness, and leadership in a meaningful way.

A special thank you to the City of Petersburg Builders Hub Program for allowing The Luck Group to pour into the next generation.

First giving all honor to God for blessing us with a beautiful day.

🎣 The Luck Group 4th Annual Youth & Family Fishing Derby 🎣was amazing with over 70 youth participants!!!!

The Luck Group Organization proudly presented our Youth & Family Fishing Derby, creating a day filled with fishing, learning, laughter, family bonding, and community connection. From check-in to giveaway bags, knot tying, casting and retrieving, fishing education, conservation awareness, and time by the water, our youth had the opportunity to experience the outdoors in a meaningful and memorable way.

Through our H.O.O.K. Helping Out Our Kids Program, we continue working to introduce youth and families to outdoor recreation, conservation education, wellness, and positive hands-on experiences in nature.

We would like to thank the Petersburg Baptist Association for the perfect location (Camp Kehukee). Our sponsors, volunteers, Conservation Police, instructors, families, and everyone who helped make this event possible. Your support helps us continue opening doors for youth and families to explore, learn, heal, and grow outdoors. More pics to come!
