The Luck Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering all youth and at-risk youth and families through outdoor education, recreation, and conser

vation. Our mission is to reconnect communities with nature by creating hands-on experiences in hunting, archery, fishing, camping, kayaking, and wildlife conservation. Through programs like our Youth & Family Hunt Experiences and the Women In Nature (WIN) Program, we provide safe, inclusive spaces for learning, growth, and healing in nature. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of outdoor leaders, conservationists, and environmental stewards. What We Do:

Learn. Work. Grow. Build Your Future. 🌱

The Luck Group is excited to host our first Youth Basic Lawncare & Maintenance Workshop in partnership with Harrison Lake National Fish Hatchery / U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service!

This hands-on workshop is designed for youth ages 12–17 to learn practical life skills, outdoor responsibility, safety, and entrepreneurship.

Participants will learn:

âś… Safe use of a push mower
âś… Safe use of a riding mower
âś… Safe use of a w**d eater/string trimmer
âś… Basic lawncare and maintenance skills
âś… Entrepreneurship and financial education
âś… Teamwork, confidence, and responsibility

Lunch is included, and each participant will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the workshop.

We had an amazing time introducing archery to the youth of Caroline County homeschoolers! 🎯

From kindergarten through 12th grade, youth of all ages came out ready to learn, focus, and have fun. It was a joy watching their confidence grow as they practiced safety, patience, discipline, and new outdoor skills.

A big thank you to the families and homeschool community for allowing The Luck Group to share this experience. We had a blast and look forward to more opportunities to get youth and families outdoors!

What an amazing day with an incredible group of kids at the Jr. Marine Tech Workshop, hosted by Waypoint Marine Technologies and The Luck Group! 🚤🎣

From hands-on activities to new experiences, these young participants showed curiosity, excitement, and confidence every step of the way.

A special thank you to Nanny’s Restaurant in Prince George County for sponsoring a delicious lunch for everyone — it was truly appreciated!

We also want to give a big thank you to our photographer , for capturing the special moments from the day and Virginia Conservation Police Officer Sitler for boater safety regulations.
