The Moka Pot Thanks The Community
Moka Pot was built by the community, for the community.
You can spray paint our walls. You can break our windows. But yesterday made one thing very clear: you cannot break our spirit.
When something like this happens, it would be easy to focus on the person responsible. Instead, we want to focus on the people who reminded us what this community is really about.
You showed up. You bought coffee. You sent messages. You shared our story. You offered to help. You reminded our team that one person’s actions will never outweigh the strength and generosity of an entire community.
For that, we cannot thank you enough.
We also want to thank the Manchester NH Police for their work and the advancements being made in this case, along with Joe Kelly for stepping up and offering a reward toward the apprehension of the person responsible.
Since the incident, several people have asked us where they can donate or whether we will be creating a GoFundMe. There will not be one. Instead, we are asking you to do something that we believe better represents what Moka Pot stands for.
If you were willing to give $5, $20, $50, or anything at all to help us recover, give it to a local nonprofit instead. Support someone who needs it. Support an organization making Manchester stronger.
We’ll fix the windows. We’ll clean the walls. We’ll make the repairs. And we’ll do what we do best: make the coffee.
Because Moka Pot has never just been about four walls and a sign above the door. It’s about the people inside them. Yesterday proved that beyond any doubt.
Thank you, Manchester. We’re still here.
