Open House for High school and Middle School Fall Rowing

🚣 YOUTH ROWING OPEN HOUSE — THIS SATURDAY!
Curious about rowing? Come check out Holyoke Rows’ Youth Rowing Open House this Saturday, August 29, from 10 AM–12 PM!

All interested students and families are welcome. Meet the coaches, tour the boathouse, and get in a boat and try rowing! Food will be provided, and no rowing experience is necessary.

🌊 Middle School Learn to Row — Grades 6–8
A fun, supportive introduction to the sport and its fundamentals.

💪 High School Competitive Crew — Grades 9–12
Ready for a challenge? Competitive Crew is a team commitment. Rowers practice Monday–Friday, 3:00–5:00 PM, train on the Connecticut River, build strength and endurance, and compete at regattas throughout New England. It takes dedication—but you’ll work hard, get better, and accomplish something together.

Youth rowing programs are FREE for Holyoke and Chicopee residents.

Summer may be winding down, but your time on the water doesn’t have to.
Whether you want to keep paddling, learn something new, or take your time on the water to the next level, there’s a way to keep going with Holyoke Rows this fall:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Kayaking — Keep paddling together with a Family Kayaking Pass.
🚣 Adult Programs — Keep building your skills and enjoying time on the water.
🏫 Middle School Rowing — Learn a new sport, make friends, and have fun on the water after school.
🏆 High School Crew — Train 5 days a week, become part of a team, and compete. Beginners welcome!

🌊 Thank you for an amazing summer! 🛶🎣
More than 600 people joined us for Summer Nights on the River at Holyoke Rows 🌊 Free Kayaking & Fishing for youth and families — and more than half were there for the very first time!

A huge thank you to our youth workers, volunteers, and especially our community for spreading the word, showing up, and giving kayaking a try. And a special thank you to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation for helping make these free events possible!

We’re so glad we got to share this beautiful spot on the Connecticut River with so many of you. ❤️

There’s still plenty of time to get on the water with Holyoke Rows

For local middle and high school students, Fall Youth Rowing is a chance to keep enjoying the water while learning a new sport, building confidence, making friends, and becoming part of a team.

🚣 Middle School Rowing
Twice a week after school learn to row program for Holyoke & Chicopee middle school students. Beginner-friendly and focused on learning, teamwork, and having fun on the water.

🏆 High School Crew
Five days a week after school, just like other school sports. Students train together, build fitness and skills, and have opportunities to compete. Beginners are welcome!
