We love welcoming visitors to our new building, especially those who helped bring our vision to life!

It was so fun to have Chad from Keiter and Karen from Kuhn Riddle Architects stop by for a visit! After all of the planning, designing, and renovations, there's something special about seeing the space come together and how our participants have already begun making it their own.

We're so grateful to everyone who helped make this space possible and were so excited for all the ways it will continue to inspire generations of girls to be strong, smart, and bold!

Today’s focus: Emotional Intelligence! 🧠🥹

Today, the girls explored the difference between wants and needs. As they shared their ideas and listened to one another, they practiced recognizing their feelings, understanding what matters to them, and respecting different perspectives.

Today’s focus: Confidence! 🥰

Confidence means believing in yourself, sharing your ideas, and trusting that your voice matters. Today, the girls are expressing themselves through art and taking on a challenge. They’re reflecting on their abilities, showing a willingness to try and learn, and recognizing how much they continue to grow.

Kindness can look like helping others, listening with care, and taking action when we need to see in our community. Today, we are using our new Ignite!curriculum to reflect on challenges in our community and think about how we can work together to make things better.

It’s here—Lead from Here: Character in Action is officially underway at Girls Inc. of the Valley! This month, girls will take a deeper look at the six character elements that help them become strong, smart, and bold: confidence, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, kindness, respect, and self-advocacy. We can’t wait to share what our girls are creating and discovering. Stay tuned!

Our Executive Director, Suzanne Parker and Associate Executive Director, Lakisha Coppedge have been spending the last few days at Girls Inc. Aspire 2026, gathering with Girls Inc. leaders and affiliates from across the country to learn, collaborate, and share ideas.

From exploring new programs and tools to exchanging ideas with leaders doing incredible work in communities nationwide, Aspire is an opportunity to stay connected to what's next and continue growing the ways we support and inspire our girls.

We're proud to be a part of a network that is always learning, evolving, and pushing our work forward. We can't wait to hear about the fresh ideas, new connections, and additional insights they'll be bringing back to Girls Inc. of the Valley to help strengthen our work and support the girls and families we serve.

One week down—and we’re already showing the world what it means to be Strong, Smart, and Bold! 💪🧠✨

Our first week at Girls Inc. was filled with new friendships, creative activities, big ideas, joyful moments, and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. From speaking up with confidence to supporting one another, our girls started the year by bringing the Girls Inc. mission to life.

This is more than an after-school program—it’s a place where every girl can discover her strengths, find her voice, and believe in her power. And we’re only getting started! 💖

We were thrilled to welcome Dr. McNeill, Senior Program Officer for Education and Economic Mobility at the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, to Girls Inc. of the Valley’s new program home!

The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts has been a longtime supporter and partner of Girls Inc. of the Valley, and we’re so grateful for their continued investment in creating opportunities for girls across our community.

It was wonderful to share our new space, talk about the work ahead, and celebrate what’s possible when we come together to support girls and their futures. Thank you, Dr. McNeill and the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts for being part of our journey!
