Congratulations to local veteran Eric Toth on being awarded Veteran of the Month for June from Congresswoman Lisa McClain’s Office. He is the second of Holly’s veterans to receive this award and is recognized for his hard work as a volunteer in our local veteran community.

The Newsletter states:

“I am honored to recognize Second Class Petty Officer Eric William Toth as the MI-09 Veteran of the Month for June 2026.

Petty Officer Toth enlisted in the United States Navy in 1974, continuing a proud family tradition as the fourth generation to serve in the Navy. After training in culinary arts, he served aboard the USS Independence, where he supported sailors through every aspect of the ship’s food service operations while gaining valuable leadership and operational experience during deployments around the world.

Following his honorable service, Petty Officer Toth built a successful career in the private sector before dedicating his retirement to serving fellow veterans. He now serves on the Board of Directors for the Holly Area Veterans Resource Center, is Second Vice Commander of American Legion Post 149, and volunteers with the Holly American Legion and VFW Joint Honor Guard to honor veterans at funeral services across our community. His lifelong commitment to service makes him a deserving recipient of this recognition. Congratulations, Petty Officer Toth, and thank you for your service to our nation.”
