After reading our post about discontinuing the scholarship program, a fellow Holly golf alum reached out and asked about taking over going forward. More details to follow regarding the new direction and leadership, but wanted to pass along the good news! The Growth of the Game lives on!!!

Happy to report that even with participation numbers way down from past years for the Growth of the Game Scholarship golf outing, with the financial support of many local business and community members we are able to award Taylor Vines with $2,500 for continuing education! Thanks to all who help Cara and I make this dream we had possible! Please review the list below and try to support those who generously support our cause.

An amazing showing today for the GOTG golf outing in the rain. Too many to thank, but you all know who you are if you played today, or donated to our cause! Because of you we raised a lot of money for the 2018 winner, Taylor Vines!

Looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday morning for the GOTG Outing. Please come early for registration and complimentary bloody mary's. We will play rain or shine, as long as there isn't severe weather.

2 weeks from tomorrow is the 6th Annual GOTG Golf Outing. We have room for 2 more teams, so please register ASAP! Tons of amazing prizes this year including restaurant gift cards, movie theater passes, spa packages, and TONS of golf at courses all over the state. Courses include up north destinations like Bay Harbor, Treetops, and Hidden River, and local courses like Metamora CC, Lapeer CC, Pine K**b, and many more. Please help Cara Dovre and I continue to grow the game in Holly!

Courtesy of our title sponsor Ryan Newman and his Re/Max business, this year's Growth of the Game Scholarship golf outing will include a complimentary "Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar!" For those that dont like a good bloody mary, you will have alternative drink choices to start your morning off right! Still time to sign up, just over 3 weeks away!

Just over 6 weeks left until the event, please let me know if you can play. With the weather being so poor in April not many people have been thinking about golf, and our sign-ups are WAY down. Cara Dovre and I will continue putting this event on annually as long as we get the participation to support it. Thanks for reading and sharing!
