🚨 TRANSPORT HELP NEEDED FOR SHUG! 🚨

We are urgently seeking assistance to help get Shug safely from Palm Coast, Florida (near St. Augustine) closer to St. Francis Farm Sanctuary (just outside Charlotte, NC) or ultimately back to Long Island, NY.

We're looking for:

πŸš— Transport volunteers willing to help with a leg of the journey
❄️ Snowbirds or travelers heading north who may be making the trip to the Carolinas, New York, or points in between
🏑 A foster or adopter in Florida who can provide a temporary or permanent home while transport is arranged

As a rescue, we are committed to taking back every animal that comes through our program, even when the logistics are difficult. We need your help to keep that promise to Shug.

At just 5 months old and approximately 20 lbs, Shug is an adorable small-breed puppy with a heart full of love and a personality that shines. This little nugget is quick to learn, eager to please, and always ready to make you smile.

Shug is a smart, happy puppy who enjoys being with people and learning new things. She's at the perfect age to continue her training and grow into an amazing lifelong companion. Her playful spirit, sweet nature, and willingness to learn make her a joy to be around.

Unfortunately, her adopters have realized that the energy and commitment required for a young puppy are more than they anticipated, and they have requested that Shug return to our care.

🎣🐾 Last Chance Animal Rescue is honored and excited to return for our second year as part of the Annual Billys by the Bay Michael Murphy Memorial Fluke Tournament! 🐾🎣

This event is so much more than a fishing tournament.

It is a celebration of the life and legacy of Michael Murphy, an avid fisherman, devoted friend, and passionate animal lover whose kindness continues to bring people together years later. ❀️

One of the reasons we are so proud to be involved is because the values shared by the anglers, supporters, and organizers mirror the very heart of rescueβ€”community, compassion, and helping those who cannot help themselves.

Last year, the generosity of this incredible fishing family left us speechless when the winners of the Blackfish Tournament (pictured below) made the selfless decision to donate their 1st and 2nd place prize winnings to Last Chance Animal Rescue. Their gift helped us continue providing lifesaving care for homeless animals and reminded us just how powerful a community can be when it comes together for a cause.

🚨 URGENT FOSTERS NEEDED 🚨

We need your help right now.

St. Francis Farm is currently operating with limited staffing, and animals continue to need our help. Every available foster home can make an immediate difference.

Even a short-term foster commitment can save lives. In some cases, we only need a dog to stay in a foster home for a 48-hour quarantine period before moving on to their next placement. Those few days can relieve pressure on the farm, create space for another animal in need, and help us continue saying β€œyes” to lives that otherwise may be lost.

The truth is heartbreaking: many of the dogs currently safe with us would not be alive today if someone hadn’t stepped forward to offer temporary sanctuary.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time. You don’t need to make a lifetime commitment to change a life. Sometimes a few days is all it takes.
