It’s exciting to see those walls going up! 🧱📚❤️

The Friends of the Lewis County Public Library are so proud to be a part of this project and grateful to everyone who has supported the library and helped make this expansion possible. We can’t wait to watch it continue to take shape!

🏗️ Now THAT looks like an expansion!

The construction crew has been hard at work, and the walls of the new addition are going up quickly.

For those who have been wondering, this project includes both an expansion AND a renovation of our existing library. When construction is complete, we'll have a much larger, updated space to better serve our community.

It's exciting to watch the plans we've talked about for so long finally taking shape... quite literally, one block at a time! 📚❤️

We'll keep sharing progress along the way!

We are honored and excited to invite EVERYONE to join us for the official groundbreaking ceremony for the library renovation and expansion project! Please join us in celebration at the library next Monday and at the reception following the ceremony in the courthouse.

Volunteers needed at the library this week to help with the move. Any boxes you can drop off or time you can offer packing them will get us that much closer to the next step to get the renovations started. 😊❤️

The library is being packed up for storage and for moving to its temporary location. They are in great need of medium size sturdy boxes. Although the library is closed to serve patrons, please stop by to drop off boxes for staff and volunteers. Thank you!

As we prepare to celebrate America's 250th anniversary at Rock The Lot, we're honored to share this tribute to the veterans of Lewis County.

Over the past several weeks, veterans, their families, and friends have shared photographs and memories representing generations of military service. This slideshow is our way of saying thank you to the men and women whose service has helped preserve the freedoms we celebrate on Independence Day, and to the families who have stood beside them through that service.

While every effort was made to invite photo submissions, this tribute is not intended to be a complete record of every Lewis County veteran. Whether featured here or not, we gratefully honor all who have served and the families who have supported them.

This year's Rock The Lot celebration is proudly dedicated to the veterans and families of Lewis County. We hope you'll join us on July 4 for an evening of live music, family activities, fireworks, and a community united in gratitude.
