Father’s Hands traveled to Diaz, Arkansas

Our team fed tornado victims, volunteers, EMS staff, and first responders in Diaz, Arkansas over the weekend. Jackson county had theee communities hit really hard. Diaz and Campbell Station suffered extensive damage. Everyone was so appreciative of all the food and volunteer labor the past week. A victim who had lost her home has a private campground and allowed us to park there free. Massive cleanup is progressing rapidly. A sheriff’s deputy said he hadn’t eaten so good in all his years on the force. 😁 The open hearts and resiliency of people is always a marvel in areas of massive loss.

Father’s Hands Disaster Feeding

Father’s Hands made a return trip to Newport,TN this weekend. We were able to feed residents and give a much needed break to hard working church people and volunteers. They have served as a distribution center as well as feeding 1900 meals since we went last weekend. They are a testimony to the faithfulness of God. Karen, the lady coordinating the efforts, said she would be almost cleaned out and a big truck would pull in. While we were there several trucks and a Uhaul unloaded supplies.
Just one example- Karen had mentioned to me on Saturday that she was collecting some baby clothes for a young woman that was due in two weeks and had lost everything. She said I’m really looking for her a crib. On Sunday a truck pulled in with a lot of baby items. Guess what was in there? A like new baby bassinet. She said it’s been like that the whole time, God brings in just what we need.
Many thanks to Debbie Crofton for making the trip with us and providing much needed help. I think we have a recruit-she said she was
ready to do it again. Kelly Taylor made her second trip with us last weekend. She is a sold-out addition! We appreciate all her help.
Thank you to the many people that have donated time and money to allow us to go serve. Special thanks to Central Christian ladies, Jellybean Junction ladies, Jennifer McDonald and friends, and Chestnut Grove Chirch of Christ for all the bags of toiletries and snacks. They absolutely loved them.
A special thanks to Lisa Price and family for all their hard work helping us serve, find accommodations, and make crucial contacts. We surely enjoyed our meal and fellowship Friday night.
We have been truly blessed these last two weekends to serve alongside such sweet brothers and sisters. We’re family now!

The Father’s Hands returned yesterday from feeding in Charleston, Kentucky. Many of the same people were hit with tornadoes 2 years ago. Some lost everything both times. We were able to feed 450+ meals on Friday and the same again on Saturday. We set up in the parking lot of Charleston Missionary Baptist Church which was a distribution hub for the area. The ladies running the distribution and the volunteers are running a well-oiled machine. Everyone is so gracious and appreciative of the outpouring of help they are receiving. While we were there, trucks and trailers pulled in from North Carolina, Mississippi, and Texas.
A huge thank you to the volunteers that delivered meals to the residents, clean-up crews, electric lineman, and volunteers. They knew exactly where to go and how many meals they needed at their location.
Pat Couch and Lana Lee worked extremely hard both days. If you see Pat ask her how many meals we served each day. 😁 We so appreciate their willingness to hang in there with us even in the rain.
Thank you to all the sponsors and partners that made it possible for us to go feed. It is such a blessing to be able to provide a warm meal, a smile, and a listening ear to those going through some very difficult times. What a privilege to be the hands and feet of Jesus!

Feeding in Clarksville Tennessee

Father’s Hands traveled to Clarksville in the aftermath of the tornadoes that hit the area December 9th. Pastor Lance Phillips at Bethel Community Church graciously opened his church and parking lot to us for the week. We were able to pray and encourage grandparents that had lost a loved one, people that had whole homes destroyed, and a lot of people who had lost all food stores due to lack of power for several days. It is so humbling to experience the resilience and the thankfulness of people that have suffered catastrophic loss.
Many thanks to the people who made all this possible. Thank you to those who contributed financially so that we could purchase food and supplies. Thank you to Pat Couch for helping smoke the 75+pounds of bbq. Thank you to the ladies of Central Christian Church, Roxanne Ayers, Barbara Bonville, Krista Hinson, and Kaitlyn Carroll for cooking the 18 gallons of chili we took with us. Thank you to Kelly Taylor, JT Barnes, Pat and Donnie Couch, Nathan and Maria Lee, Lana Lee, and Tameka and Scott for helping us serve.
Special thanks to Nathan and Maria Lee for hosting our team and feeding us for the week.
We are so blessed to share the love of Jesus and be the Father’s hands to Clarksville.

The Father’s Hands has had a busy week! Headed to Amory, Mississippi last Wednesday to feed tornado victims there. We set up at the armory alongside Red Cross, United Way, and Billy Graham Ministries. Two blocks away was total devastation. We fed 180 on Thursday and 175 Friday. We left there Friday afternoon because they were supposed to have strong storms come through Friday night. We didn’t realize we were headed right into another tornado!

We have been able to help neighbors who were directly hit this weekend and headed to Grinders Creek area today to feed victims and workers.

Thank you so much to all the people who have helped and donated. It is amazing how a small thing like a hot meal is such an encouragement to people who have suffered great loss.
