The great Joe Phalon!

NJ TRANSIT would like to take a moment to remember Joe Phalon, a cherished colleague, retired conductor, and one of the founding members of RFC Railmen for Children. Joe served our railroad and our customers with dedication for more than 25 years, becoming a respected and valued member of the NJ TRANSIT family.

Joe’s impact extended far beyond his work on the rails. His vision and compassion helped create Railmen for Children, an organization that has brought joy and support to countless young people across New Jersey.

Joe’s legacy lives on in every smile that Railmen for Children inspires and in the enduring sense of community he helped build. His kindness, leadership, and spirit will always remain a part of NJ TRANSIT’s story.

Our thoughts are with Joe’s loved ones, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
