Hadassah Supports the People of Israel During This Difficult Time
Dear Friends:
We are sure you have seen the news about Israel's response to the ongoing rocket attacks from Gaza. Since yesterday, more than 200 additional rockets have been fired into Israel, including one that tragically killed three Israelis in Kiryat Malachi. We have recently learned that rockets have also attacked Tel Aviv.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had positive conversations with both President Obama and Vice President Biden yesterday. Following his conversation with President Obama, the Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation for U.S. President Obama's support of Israel's right to defend itself. Israeli President Shimon Peres also spoke with President Obama.
We are closely monitoring the situation both throughout our office in Israel and the HMO as well as through updates from governmental sources and our coalition partners and will make the information available to you on our website. Please visit us on http://www.hadassah.org.
Most importantly, we wish to express our solidarity with the people of Israel, the personnel of the HMO, the students of Youth Aliyah and Young Judaea and to families and friends living in Israel.
