No Native women served in Congress until 2018 when Deb Haalaand of New Mexico and Sharice Davids of Kansas were elected.

Data collected by RepresentWomen shows that women's representation on Tribal Councils is comparable to women's representation on city councils across the U.S. but despite this fact, Indigenous women specifically, are largely underrepresented in American politics.

Women make up a considerable amount of the authors affected by book bans and despite the majority of Americans opposing book ban efforts, they're increasing.

But first, what is a book ban? Contrary to popular belief, a booking being banned doesn't mean it's not available at a public library or for purchase from a bookstore. Instead, it means, it has been pulled from the shelves of public schools but for many students, this is the only place they can access books at all.

The state of New York has a legal loophole that implies voluntary intoxication = consent. They aren't the only state either.

Lauren Leader, CEO of All In Together, calls out the law arguing it doesn't apply to any other kind of crime, only sexual assault. If you had a few beers and got robbed, you didn't consent to being robbed. What makes r**e any different?

You can call on your lawmakers today to change this. Tell them intoxication ≠ consent! 🗣️

Cornell had no business having their own employees investigate this case. Universities have a vested interest in protecting their public reputations. Cornell should have hired outside professional investigators to run their Title IX investigations.
