Heading 40+ miles offshore in search of Megalodon teeth is always an adventure. From crossing the legendary Frying Pan Shoals to dropping down on some of the most sought-after fossil ledges in North Carolina, every dive brings the possibility of discovering a piece of prehistoric history.

A huge thank you Inman at Blackbeard Scuba for getting our veterans out there safely and professionally. Their experience, knowledge of the offshore ledges, and commitment to diver safety make these incredible expeditions possible.

🦈 Megalodon Tooth Hunt – Day 1 ✅

SubSurface Veterans had an incredible first day hunting for Megalodon teeth! What we learned quickly is that success isn’t about moving fast—it’s about slowing down, staying focused, and knowing exactly what you’re looking for.

The ocean always has a way of teaching patience, and today was no different. We found some great treasures and gained valuable experience that will help us on the dives ahead.

We’ve got two more dive days to go, and we’re excited to see what else is waiting beneath the surface.
