Merry Christmas! Our precious pups arrived safely at a no kill shelter in New Hampshire on Saturday from rural Okeechobee County where they led lives of homelessness and despair. They’re in quarantine now hit soon will be up for adoption. This emergency transport, arranged by Barbi Moline of Nala's New Life Rescue—funded by The Pegasus Foundation—saved 9 lives and it is the best Christmas present we could give these dogs. Help us save more! Donate online to Pegasusfoundation.org

This weekend, The Pegasus Foundation funded the work of Barbi Moline, Founder of Nala's New Life Rescue in Palm City, Florida, who rescues several dozen abandoned and feral cats and kittens from sweltering conditions in Okeechobee County, a rural, poverty-stricken area. In her own words, Barbi said, “We rescued this little 2 pound kitten from Okeechobee and he was so dehydrated he has spent the week at our vet. He is finally better and should be able to travel on the transport. The heat there is unbearable for the animals. He is pictured here with a vet tech at our vet.”

Help us with this and other rescue missions by donating online at: Pegasusfoundation.org

From time to time, we come across an eye-opening article which align with the core values at The Pegasus Foundation, and that is, to honor the lives of wild creatures. This is one such article. We are passionate about these incredible beings of the sea: graceful, ancient, and intelligent. Please do not eat an octopus!

Their brains work like ours; they're affectionate, curious and playful; they feel pain and get bored; and, as it emerged just weeks ago, they may even dream in the same way we do.
