Howland descendants (times four)

"Another topic in my conversation with the Globe reporter was Patrick [Jackson]’s earliest ancestors in the present-day United States, and here I mentioned that he had four different descents from "Mayflower" passengers John and Elizabeth (Tilley) Howland..." Read more: https://hubs.ly/Q01gXW6h0

Patrick Jackson is a descendant of John and Elizabeth (Tilley) Howland (four times)

For the past few months, we’ve been working with "The Boston Globe" on a big story about the very different family histories of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and her husband Patrick Jackson—a truly unique American story. Yesterday, the story ran on the front page of the Sunday paper! “A Union to Challenge the Past,” by politics reporter Emma Platoff, quotes our VP of Research Services Lindsay Fulton and Manager of Research & Library Services Sarah Dery at length, and also mentions Senior Genealogist Chris Child’s work. Our research team put in many hours of hard work on this case, especially to find Judge Jackson’s southern lines. You can also read about our research on our website here: https://hubs.ly/Q01gyh4B0

The story appeared online on Saturday in the "Globe's" digital edition. Soon after being posted, it ranked as the #1 story and as of this email, it has received over 21,000 views and nearly 100 comments. Please note it’s behind a paywall, so unfortunately we are not allowed to link to it in full, but it’s a fascinating read if you do happen to have a Globe subscription.
