AVA Benefits We are a Volunteer service that support Veterans with their Long-term care needs

We assist War Era Veterans and their Surviving spouse with the Non-Service connected VA Benefits with Aid and Attendance. This benefit provides a pension for these families that will assist them on staying on private pay and independent for a longer period of time by qualifying them for a pension that can amount up to $2,127 per month.

I was at the IHeart studios today recording a few new commercials for my show "Mass Wealth Radio" heard every Saturday at 1pm on either the IHeart Radio App or on Boston's #1 talk radio station WRKO AM680. This time of the year I always think back to all the families that God has giving me the pleasure to assist over the year with the veterans benefits program. When families call to notify me that their parents benefits were awarded there is truly no better feeling in the world. Knowing that my knowledge, time and efforts have, in most cases, changed the financial future for a veteran and/or their spouse is so good for the soul:) so for all of you that I've assisted, I thank you! It's because of you that the drive and desire runs deep inside of me! Your life changing experience is what drives me to continue year in and year out. The best part is most of the work I do with this is on a volunteer basis, which makes it even more awesome. Although I cant fib, a lot of the adult children do become clients of mine through my retirement planning services. Hey, theres nothing wrong with that good old saying " what goes around comes around!" God bless all of you and please have a wonderful Holiday season!

IT NEVER GETS OLD. I've been helping Veterans and their families with Nathan Workman for over 10 years. I just received another call from a family today that their mothers benefits have been awarded! The feeling this gives me inside is better than any paycheck I could ever receive. I am so proud of the hard work our staff does to assure the Veterans families of New England are being taken care of by our Team. This program is so rewarding in itself. It's unexplainable:) God Bless.

Happy Independence Day!

On July 4, 1776, the thirteen colonies claimed their independence from England, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States. Each year on July 4th, also known as Independence Day, Americans celebrate this historic event.

Conflict between the colonies and England was already a year old when the colonies convened a Continental Congress in Philadelphia in the summer of 1776. In a June 7 session in the Pennsylvania State House (later Independence Hall), Richard Henry Lee of Virginia presented a resolution with the famous words: "Resolved: That these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent States, that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain is, and ought to be, totally dissolved."

Lee's words were the impetus for the drafting of a formal Declaration of Independence, although the resolution was not followed up on immediately. On June 11, consideration of the resolution was postponed by a vote of seven colonies to five, with New York abstaining. However, a Committee of Five was appointed to draft a statement presenting to the world the colonies' case for independence. Members of the Committee included John Adams of Massachusetts, Roger Sherman of Connecticut, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania, Robert R. Livingston of New York and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia. The task of drafting the actual document fell on Jefferson.

On July 1, 1776, the Continental Congress reconvened, and on the following day, the Lee Resolution for independence was adopted by 12 of the 13 colonies, New York not voting. Discussions of Jefferson's Declaration of Independence resulted in some minor changes, but the spirit of the document was unchanged. The process of revision continued through all of July 3 and into the late afternoon of July 4, when the Declaration was officially adopted. Of the 13 colonies, nine voted in favor of the Declaration, two -- Pennsylvania and South Carolina -- voted No, Delaware was undecided and New York abstained. John Hancock, President of the Continental Congress, signed the Declaration of Independence. It is said that John Hancock's signed his name "with a great flourish" so England's "King George can read that without spectacles!"

Today, the original copy of the Declaration is housed in the National Archives in Washington, D.C., and July 4 has been designated a national holiday to commemorate the day the United States laid down its claim to be a free and independent nation.[1]

It is truly an honor to be able to assist each and every one of the veterans and their families that we have met!

The Springfield Vet Center paid tribute to the more than 3 million Americans who served during the Vietnam War era during a recognition ceremony on Thursday.
