at the Hilton Head Island Fishing Cooperative Park
Ages 12 and up may paddle in their own kayak. Two double kayaks, five single kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards are available.
Cost starts at $40 per person.

The former Rowing and Sailing Center has officially been renamed Hilton Head Island Fishing Cooperative Park.

This new name honors the legacy of the Hilton Head Fishing Co-Operative, established in 1966 by Native Islanders who worked together to build opportunity, independence, and community through the island’s fishing industry.

For many Hilton Head families, fishing was more than recreation; it was a way of life. This name change helps preserve an important piece of Hilton Head Island’s Gullah and Native Islander history for future generations.
