The Hilton Head Firefighters’ Association is looking for the official cover for our upcoming community cookbook!
This is your chance to showcase your creativity while celebrating our firefighters, our community, and our shared love of great food. The winning design will be featured as the official cover of the HHFA Cookbook and seen by families throughout our community.
📖 How to Enter:
✅ Create an original cookbook cover design
✅ Submit a high-resolution file (300 DPI or higher)
✅ JPG or PNG formats preferred
✅ Include your name and phone number
🏆 The winning design will become the official HHFA Cookbook cover!
📅 Submission Deadline: September 1, 2026
📍 Open to the entire Hilton Head Island community!

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT!! 🚨HHFA has partnered with Tunnel to Towers to host the Lowcountry Golf Classic this fall.⛳

The event weekend will include a dinner on 9/12/26 followed by the golf tournament on 9/13/26 at Palmetto Dunes on the George Fazio and Arthur Hills courses.

Our Firefighters Association is proud to support the community that supports us every day.

Through our recent grant cycle, we were honored to provide funding to 16 local organizations making a real difference in the lives of our residents. These grants help strengthen vital programs—from youth development and education to public safety, health services, and community outreach.

This is more than just financial support—it’s an investment in the people, partnerships, and programs that keep our community strong, safe, and connected.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and proud to stand alongside these organizations as they continue their important work.

Together, we are building a stronger community. 🚒❤️

The Association was proud to take part in this year’s Island Recreation Center Wingfest—and even prouder to bring home 1st Place in the Judges’ Choice. 🍗🏆

From prepping to serving, it was a full team effort, and we had an incredible time connecting with the community, sharing some amazing wings, and representing HHFA in a fun (and competitive!) way.

A big thank you Captain Scharver for his recipe and to everyone who came out from both Fire Rescue & The Town to support the event. We’re already looking forward to defending the title next year!

Investing in the future is one of the most meaningful ways we can give back.

This year, our Firefighters Association was proud to award 7 scholarships to the children of our Fire Rescue family, providing a total of $10,000 to support their educational journeys. These scholarships recognize not only academic achievement, but also the dedication, resilience, and strong values that reflect the spirit of our department.

We are honored to support these outstanding students as they take the next steps toward their goals, and we look forward to seeing all they will accomplish.

The HHFA is a non-profit organization comprised of the employees of Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue who raise funds annually to support local charities. Since its inception, the HHFA has donated over $600,000 to local charities.
Some of the past grant recipients include Meals on Wheels, Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, Heroes on Horseback, Lowcountry Autism Foundation, The Boys & Girls Club, Memory Matters, NAMI and more.

The grant period is open from September 8, 2025 and ends October 31, 2025.
