We’ve been a little quieter here lately, but not because things stopped.

We’ve ’ve been out in the community — talking, listening, meeting people, making connections, and continuing to build this in the most natural way we know how. And even without posting much, we’ve still been seeing new downloads and new profiles come in, which honestly means a lot to us.

That’s a big part of what we’ve hoped Marketless Farmer could be from the beginning: something that helps people discover and support local without every business having to constantly fight for attention online. Less noise. More real connection. More neighbors finding neighbors.

So thank you — for downloading the app, making a profile, following along, telling a friend, and supporting what we’re building here. We’re grateful for the quiet growth, the organic momentum, and the community that keeps showing up.

And we’re not done.

Tomorrow is the Neighborhood Microbakery Tour. 🥖🌾

After weeks of planning, baking, organizing, mapping, preserving, growing, and getting every last detail ready, it’s finally here.

From 9 AM to 2 PM on August 1st, you’ll be able to travel through the Beaverton and Aloha area, meet the people behind some incredible local bakeries and farmstands, and discover just how much is being made right here in our own community.

This tour is about more than picking up a loaf of bread. It’s a chance to slow down, meet your neighbors, try something new, and support the people building small businesses right here around us.

Take your time. Talk to people. Visit a stop you’ve never been to before. Bring a friend, bring your appetite, and make a day of it. 5stops gets you one raffle entry or go to all the stops to double your entries!

🌿 Tour Spotlight: Dubois Family Farmstand

Tomorrow’s the day, and one of the stops we’re excited for people to discover is Dubois Family Farmstand.

At the heart of it is a mom of nine who has built a life around making things last—raising a garden, raising a family, and preserving the harvest through canning and other time-honored methods.

There’s something deeply fitting about this stop being part of the tour. It’s not just about what’s on the table tomorrow. It’s about the work behind it, the knowledge passed down, and the care it takes to turn what’s grown at home into something that can be shared and enjoyed long after the season ends.

Come meet the family, explore the stand, and support a local household that puts so much heart into growing, preserving, and feeding their community.

There’s something special about watching a big dream take root.

The Big Little Farms is the story of two sisters who left city life behind to build something lasting together: a generational family compound in the countryside, grounded in good food, hard work, and community.

They’re growing more than a farm. They’re creating a place their family can continue building for years to come, while sharing farm-fresh goods and homemade baked treats with the neighbors around them.

On August 1st, you’ll get the chance to visit The Big Little Farms as part of the Neighborhood Microbakery Tour, meet the sisters behind it, and experience a little piece of the life they’re creating.

🌾 Tour Spotlight: Treefell Farm

It feels especially meaningful to introduce Kari and Cory of Treefell Farm, because so much of the heart behind this tour begins with people like them.

From the first time we sat down together over coffee, it was clear that they care deeply about more than simply baking great bread. They care about bringing people together, supporting other small makers, and creating the kind of community where neighbors genuinely show up for one another.

Kari and Cory have poured an incredible amount of time, energy, and heart into helping make the Neighborhood Microbakery Tour what it is. Their generosity, organization, and willingness to open their space have helped turn a simple idea into a full day of discovery, connection, and local pride.

Of course, the baking speaks for itself. Treefell Farm creates the kind of bread that reminds you how special it is to know who made your food and where it came from. But what makes this stop truly memorable is the warmth of the people behind it.

On August 1st, come meet Kari and Cory, explore Treefell Farm. and experience one of the places that helped bring this entire tour to life.
