A new month. New opportunities to connect. And a reminder that you don’t have to figure out what comes next alone.

At Allied Brands Collective, we believe Survivors deserve community and support long after the immediate crisis has passed. A place to be heard, share ideas, build relationships, and move forward on their own terms.

This month, we’re making space for:
🤎 Connection and conversation through our Women’s Circle and Friendsgiving peer support gatherings
💻 Working alongside one another at open coworking
🌱 Sharing ideas and building momentum through professional check-ins and business planning
🛍️ Discovering and supporting businesses through our online showcase and holiday pop-up shop

Here is the special flyer I created for tomorrow’s event along with the Family Peace Center of Washington County Run For Hope event! I designed this with a personal touch to step into character as the Wildwood Glen Guide for the morning. I will be wearing a purple hooded cape and flower crown to represent our collective’s mission of cultivation, growth, and peer sanctuary. I wanted to make something unique that reflects how we guide women Survivors toward security and independence, and I am so excited to share it with everyone in person.

Allied Brands Collective is thrilled to have a booth at the 4th Annual Run for Hope benefiting the Family Peace Center.

This is a fun, family-friendly Halloween celebration, so please bring the whole family in their favorite costumes. There will be treats, kids’ activities, a costume contest, and more.

If you are looking for peer support circles or resources to help your business dreams grow, come look for our table. I will be handing out candy for the journey and sharing information on our peer support groups and women’s entrepreneur networks. Come say hello to us and all the other incredible community partners sharing vital resources.

DAY 29 Calling all leaders and change-makers: October is wrapping up, so what’s next for Survivors & allies?

All month long, we’ve seen businesses, organizations, and community groups step up for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Our communities have been energized by powerful campaigns, vital resource sharing, and events aimed at lifting up survivors and spreading awareness. Now that we are in the final days of October, it’s time to debrief.

Following the success of our past few sessions, we are continuing our monthly Community Leaders Exchange this Thursday afternoon on Zoom. This is a dedicated space to pause, connect, and look at how it all went:

• What strategies actually moved the needle?
• What resources did we uncover?
• How do we keep this momentum going through the upcoming holiday season and into the new year?

Awareness months are powerful, but survivor support and community collaboration have to continue well past October.

Bring your coffee and let’s compare notes on how we sustain this momentum together. We host these exchanges every single month, so come introduce yourself and let organic collaborations begin.

Our Survivor Collective is seeking speakers for our upcoming local and regional survivor impact panels and trainings! Our panels do include thank-you gifts for your time.

But tonight's workshop isn't just about speaking on our panels, it's to help you prepare for your own meetings, rooms, and any public opportunities you come across. Tonight on Zoom is our monthly peer space, focusing entirely on speaker story development and stage/presentation prep.

This work is real. Last Friday night, I helped emcee at a women’s banquet and was pleasantly surprised to receive a thank-you card with a generous cash honorarium inside. I want more of those moments for everyone in our collective. It is the direct result of the time we spend in these workshops getting ready for whatever stages come your way.

Your story is equity. Tonight is about translating your expertise into thought leadership so you are ready when those opportunities open up.
