Sea Bright Beach Clean Up! 🪼🦀🐋🏖️

Volunteers Needed!
Help restore the seaside waterfront of the Jersey Shore near the entrance to Sandy Hook by cleaning up litter that has floated its way onto the shores, deposited by the changing tides. The coastal habitats of New Jersey's beaches and shorelines are vital for the survival of the numerous shorebird, turtle, and aquatic mammal species that use the shoreline to feed, shelter, and nest. Help make the beach safer not only for us but for the native NJ wildlife that call it home!

📅 Thursday, June 18th
🕤 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
📍 We will meet at/around the North Beach section of Anchorage Beach near the Sandy Hook Bridge (40.393623, -73.975487)

‼️Pre-registration is required: Register with the QR Code on the flyer or using this link [https://forms.gle/NLDV6Q6aY8WM7qx48]‼️

We ask that everyone who is coming fill out this form so we can track the number of expected volunteers. If you will be coming with a group of five or more, please have one point person fill out the form and then contact us directly with your planned number of attendees.

👕Supplies will be provided! If possible, bring your own gloves. If not possible, a limited number of gloves will be available. Dress for the weather! Wear clothing that you would not mind getting dirty & bring a water bottle. We will gather at or near the starting coordinates to distribute gloves, bags, and pickers before we walk onto the beach.

📝Please do not forget to sign in with a representative when you arrive!

Students at Cumberland Regional High School joined us for a kayaking field trip at Sunset Lake in Bridgeton. In addition to practicing their paddling skills, they saw a bald eagles, osprey, turtles, and a great blue heron! Sunset Lake is a part of the Cohansey River Watershed, which flows down to the Delaware Bay. If we want a healthy bay and ocean, we need people to care about and take care of these watersheds.
