CNJFO MEMBERS TO SHOOT PPC MATCH FRIDAY 10-09-26!
POLICE PISTOL COMBAT MATCH NOW AIR CONDITIONED!

On the night of the 25th Anniversary of the 9-11 Attacks, last month's Police Pistol Combat League's Enrichment Exercise Drill featured a 9-11 theme: Hijackers attempting to breech the jetliner's cockpit door and the taking of hostages with boxcutters at their throats. The "warm-up" Drill at 7 yards featured "Aim Small, Miss Small" onto the 3" x 5" blue stickies PPC co-chair Peter Luccarelli acquired two years ago. After getting all rounds in the blue sticker, shooters had a go at the "credit card" sized forehead of the USPSA paper threat targets supplied by CNJFO life member John Zeller, owner of Aberdeen Guns and Ammo.
Not exactly a standard action shooting stage, the two threats at the cockpit door needed dealt with in priority fashion at 15 yards with a 1-shot, 2-shots, 1-shot tactical sequence INTO THEIR BACKS! The two hostage takers in the foreground with boxcutters at the throats of the hostages left only their heads exposed, thus requiring carefully aimed headshots.
The untimed stage, designed by Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal and CNJFO member Stuart Gepp, started with the armed Air Marshall exiting the lavatory and engaging the threats as the "passengers" (fellow competitors) screamed their heads off adding some realism to the chaos. CNJFO members in good standing are invited to shoot the Old Bridge R***e & Pistol Club Police Pistol Combat League Match on Friday evening October 9, 2026. CNJFO is the only Second Amendment organization we know of that makes a beginner-friendly and educational pistol Match available to its members. The regular monthly Match features our folks joining Old Bridge R***e & Pistol Club members and their guests pumping lead into B-27 and B-34 silhouette targets at OBRPC's indoor range. The 5-stage 60-round course of fire has shooters engaging timed, pneumatically controlled, disappearing targets at 7-25 yards with mag changes on-the-clock. No, you don't have to be a LEO to shoot this Match.
BACKGROUND--OR--WHAT THE LEAGUE DOES:
The Police Pistol Combat (PPC) League competitors draw a loaded sidearm from the holster engaging pneumatically-turning silhouettes from 7 - 25 yards in 5 stages employing standing, sitting, kneeling and barricade positions. Competitors are challenged with a 6-round string of strong hand only shooting at 7 yards and a 6-round string of support hand shooting behind "cover" onto the simulated 50-yard (B-34) target. The league is beginner-friendly and camaraderie helps all attain higher scores.
Those competitors that wish to start at the "Low-Ready" position with sidearm pointed at range floor and index finger along the slide--NO HOLSTER DRAW--may do so without penalty. Safety comes FIRST!
Police Pistol Combat league is held on the second Friday of every month and Old Bridge R&P Club has been hosting this league for well over 30 years.
CNJFO membership has its privileges, as CNJFO members are invited to attend. Are YOU a CNJFO member?
