CNJFO INSTRUCTS PUBLIC AT 11TH DIVERSITY SHOOT OF '26!
VOLUNTEERS TEACH SAFE GUN HANDLING AT WESHOOT!

Tony Simon held his educational The 2nd is for Everyone: Diversity Shoot on Thursday evening August 20th at WESHOOT in Lakewood, NJ. Simon's program, now in its 11th year, is open to all regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion and everything else used by the Anti's to divide the 2A community. CNJFO Trustee Jim Howard outlined all of the activities CNJFO is involved in, both legal and social / fundraising. Howard's stack of index cards used to mention cases and fundraising endeavors has grown since last year.

Your organization is fighting harder than ever and Howard asked for people to become members and volunteers to help get things done. The cases are active in both the 3rd Circuit and US Supreme Court. We also helped attorney Alan Beck and the Hawaii 2A organization he represents with their vampire law.

A pizza party is part of every Diversity Shoot, with folks chatting about their fi****ms experience and why they wish to train. As this is happening our instructors are organizing their assigned shooting ports making sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable shooting experience.

CNJFO volunteer firearm instructors Chris Wilson, Sergio Harris, Hugh Kearney and CNJFO Trustees Jim Howard, Nick Wong and Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal once again ran the shooting ports. Participants shot several handguns in various calibers from many manufacturers, including Sig, Staccato, G***k, Kimber, Smith & Wesson, R***r and many others. Chris Wilson's .357 revolver loaded with soft-shooting .38 Specials, Jim Howard's 5.56mm Henry lever action rifle and Nick Wong's AR-15 platform in .50 Beowulf caliber thrilled all those that shot them!

To mark the 81st anniversary of the end of WW2, Rosey brought his M1 Garand, loading his 8-round en-bloc clips with .30-06 M2 BALL ammo donated by Jack Pyle's family upon Jack's passing last September. Education and a history lesson as Jack's memory lives on, much to the delight of all who wanted to hear the PING! Rosey loaded the gas-operated relic built in 1943 so nobody walked away with "M1 thumb"!

All proved very accurate and easy to use for shooters with and without experience. Fun was had by everyone as proper stance and breathing combined with superior gun handling and trigger control ruled the evening.

Gun handling and safety is taught at every Diversity Shoot, starting with a safety lecture in the classroom by founder Tony Simon.

The learning continues on the firing line by our CNJFO volunteer Instructors. Our volunteers bring their own fi****ms and Simon brings arms that were donated to the program by manufacturers.

Thursday August 20th was the eleventh Diversity Shoot for the 2026 calendar year. We were delighted to see several new shooters, both male and female, as well as some "regulars". The fun and camaraderie is palpable no matter the experience level of the participants, proving that this program appeals to a wide audience!

WHY DOES NJ OPEN CARRY MAKE YOU P**P YOUR PANTS?
HAVE THE ANTI'S TRAINED US TO NOT TRUST EACH OTHER?

I love and respect Open Carry. This 250 year old country was formed using it! We had gun racks in churches long ago. I've done it myself in Free States and it feels great not being subjected to any TAX to do so. Go to a Free State and try it sometime. It almost feels "naughty", like you're getting away with a crime. Because it's all we know. We don't live in Free America where you can bump into your neighbor and her Sig on her hip in the grocery store. New Jersey's politicians currently in control of the Assembly, Senate and the Governor's seat HATE gun owners, especially those that want to use a sidearm "for all legal purposes including SELF-DEFENSE". That needs to CHANGE for things to get better for gun owners!

Just yesterday our CNJFO Trustee Board voted to invest in yet another Amicus Brief being sent to SCOTUS. A wise investment to gain more ground to regain gun rights we should have never lost!

As I travel the Garden State I meet lots of gun owners, some completely new to ownership and some grizzled "veterans" like myself that remember carbon paper in-between the handgun permit's four paper copies. I participated in handgun transfers across a kitchen table at zero dark thirty after working an evening shift--and no need for FFL involvement--was NORMAL! Now we need a fi****ms dealer to tell us via an "INSTANT Background Check"--that can take days or weeks--that a carry permit holder that's been background checked FOUR TIMES isn't a felon! In Free States your carry permit automatically clears your transfer and VOIDS the Brady Bill 3-day waiting period.

Thanks to Jersey gun owners' Stockholm Syndrome, online celebrations are witnessed when a firearm transfer or carry permit renewal takes less than a week! In Pennsy my son got his carry permit approved in FIVE MINUTES! The PICS Check came back before the laminator finished warming up! No practical exam for a Constitutional right, no written test. Bought the sidearm with his driver's license, no permit required! No AMMO TRACKING! My how far we've come here in the Communist People's Republic of New Jerseystan! There's still work to be done!

Thanks to Bruen, tens of thousands of handgun carry licenses have been issued in New Jersey, albeit with a several hundred dollar Poll Tax to keep "THOSE PEOPLE" in Camden, Passaic, Elizabeth and Newark from owning and/or carrying. Thanks to the need to fight the politician's UNCONSTITUTIONAL law designating half the real estate in NJ as "Sensitive Places", and the lawsuit we're still waiting on, many carriers haven't renewed their carry permits. That's SAD!

This image is now in circulation and some outlets are using it to create FEAR among gun owners in yet another attempt to DIVIDE US. Don't let the Anti's sneak-in a win. Support carry both state and national IN ALL FORMS so we KEEP WINNING!

CNJFO invites families, first-time shooters, newer shooters, members, and anyone looking to enjoy a day at the range with friends to join us at Phillipsburg Pistol Club on Saturday September 19, 2026. All fi****ms and ammo are provided, so please leave yours at home. Three shooting time slots of one hour each are available: 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm and we ask you to arrive 1/2 hour early to do equipment check and release paperwork. CNJFO member Stuart Gepp, Phillipsburg Pistol Club Liaison to CNJFO and Chief Range Safety Officer, will oversee this event together with Family Day Range Chair Eric Saperstein. This will be a social range event with CNJFO instructors and range staff supporting attendees throughout the day. Event fi****ms will include 9mm and .22 LR pistols and pistol caliber carbines. Fi****ms, ammunition, targets, and range support will be provided.

Steel targets provided by Phillipsburg Pistol Club for your clanging pleasure. Each shooting participant will receive 10 shooting tickets, representing a planned total of 100 rounds in controlled 10-round strings. Additional shooting tickets will be available--for an additional donation--during the event depending on ammunition supply and event flow.

Tickets are 49 American per shooting participant. Participation is open to ages 10 and up. Children must attend with a parent or legal guardian. Please bring your own eye and ear protection. Eye and ear protection will be available if needed. Drinks and restroom will be provided. Food will not be provided, so brown bag for your needs. NO ALCOHOL ON THE PROPERTY!

Please do not bring personal fi****ms for range use. Concealed carry is welcome, but the event range will be limited to fi****ms supplied and managed by CNJFO instructors and range staff.

The event will include three scheduled shooting sessions with a total capacity of 32 shooting participants. Attendees MUST SELECT their assigned SESSION TIME when they register and remit funds. Shooters are reminded to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled range session for check-in and preparation.

CNJFO MEMBERS SHOOT PPC MATCH LAST FRIDAY!
POLICE PISTOL COMBAT MATCH NOW AIR CONDITIONED!

CNJFO members in good standing were invited to shoot the Old Bridge Rifle & Pistol Club Police Pistol Combat League Match on Friday evening August 14, 2026. CNJFO is the only Second Amendment organization we know of that makes a beginner-friendly and educational pistol Match available to its members. The regular monthly Match features our folks joining Old Bridge Rifle & Pistol Club members and their guests pumping lead into B-27 and B-34 silhouette targets at OBRPC's indoor range. The 5-stage 60-round course of fire has shooters engaging timed, pneumatically controlled, disappearing targets at 7-25 yards with mag changes on-the-clock. No, you don't have to be a LEO to shoot this Match.

Friday August 14th was the first league match using the NEW AIR CONDITIONING INSIDE THE SHOOTING RANGE! The Air Group, Inc. HVAC company expertly installed roof-mounted AC units to PUMP COLD AIR into the 25 yard range! A great improvement for the comfort of all Old Bridge members and guests, the new welcome addition to the Old Bridge indoor range air handling system was celebrated by all at the Match.

League Co-Chair Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal celebrated his 67th trip around the sun with a chocolate cake after the first relay and the ensemble sang "Happy Birthday" and signed a B-34 "Little Guy" target that Co-Chair Peter Luccarelli set up at registration.

Two post-match Enrichment Exercise Drills were held after this Match. The first one, "Pool Hall", started with shooter seated at table behind a No-Shoot, 5 threat (USPSA) targets behind No-Shoot at various distances and partially blocked by the No-Shoot, an unloaded sidearm and loaded mags on the table. Stage was a 20-round Course of Fire with a mandatory mag change, 5 threats engaged in tactical priority with 1 round each, then give each threat an additional 3 rounds, your choice as to which ones and when.

Stuart Gepp won this Drill with a score of 94 x 100 (18 Alpha's and 2 Charlie's) in 18.50 secs., followed by Dan Iannuzzo with 97 pts in 21.39 secs, Tony Simon with 90 pts in 27.90 secs, Paul Papier with 85 pts in 24.94 secs and Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal with 92 pts in 27.45 secs. Scores and order of finish placement for action shooting are based upon time and quality of hits, as well as points deducted if you fail to fire all 20 rounds, earn misses (mikes), etc.

The "Save The Baby" Drill was next and featured a loaded and holstered sidearm. At the start signal you had to briskly advance toward the perp, pick up a .50 caliber ammo can loaded with over 20 pounds of ammo (the "baby"), using your support (weak) hand, then draw and engage the perp utilizing strong hand only with 5 rounds while retreating. Robert Joyce won this stage with 5 Alpha's--center mass hits--in just 5.66 seconds. Mark Garahan placed 2nd with 4 Alpha's and 1 Charlie in 5.35 secs, Dan Iannuzzo placed 3rd with 4 Alpha's and 1 Charlie in 5.43 secs and Paul Papier came in 4th with 4 Alpha's and 1 Charlie in 5.86 secs. So a mere 2/10ths of a second separated 1st and 4th place!

Match scores for both the regular Match and the two Drills are posted at the end of the picture story and on PractiScore. Many thanks to the volunteers that stuck around in the new air-conditioning and cheerfully helped clean up afterwards.

BACKGROUND--OR--WHAT THE LEAGUE DOES:

The Police Pistol Combat (PPC) League competitors draw a loaded sidearm from the holster engaging pneumatically-turning silhouettes from 7 - 25 yards in 5 stages employing standing, sitting, kneeling and barricade positions. Competitors are challenged with a 6-round string of strong hand only shooting at 7 yards and a 6-round string of support hand shooting behind "cover" onto the simulated 50-yard (B-34) target. The league is beginner-friendly and camaraderie helps all attain higher scores.

Those competitors that wish to start at the "Low-Ready" position with sidearm pointed at range floor and index finger along the slide--NO HOLSTER DRAW--may do so without penalty. Safety comes FIRST!

Police Pistol Combat league is held on the second Friday of every month and Old Bridge R&P Club has been hosting this league for well over 30 years.

CNJFO 4TH ANNUAL CIGAR DINNER A HUGE SUCCESS!
FUNDS EARMARKED FOR LAWSUITS AND GENERAL FUND!

The Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners held its 4th annual Cigar Dinner Fundraiser on Wednesday August 12, 2026 at The Cigar Social in Freehold, NJ with over 40 Patriots attending. The funds raised are earmarked for our continuing Second Amendment battles with our State government, several Amicus Brief filings in 2A cases around the country that will benefit New Jersey gun owners and our general operating fund. Cigar Dinner Chair Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal passed out three complimentary ci**rs and a Gun For Hire Goody Bag loaded with useful stuff to every attendee.

The All-You-Can-Eat Italian buffet and BYOB atmosphere was highlighted with a birthday cake for Rosey, a founding Trustee of CNJFO, celebrating his 67th trip around the sun. Rosey thanked everyone for attending the fundraiser, celebrating his birthday and supporting the Coalition.

"We're getting really good at suing the government for our gun rights, and with your help WE'LL KEEP DOIN' IT! Thanks to all for your help and support throughout the year!"
