Patriotic 2A supporters from all walks of life and shooting disciplines are invited to attend CNJFO's annual Sporting Clays fundraiser being held at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays on Saturday July 11, 2026. YOU can be among them as the PUBLIC IS INVITED! Registration closes in just 4 weeks, so PLEASE REGISTER NOW! Receipts garnered from this fundraiser are earmarked for both the Hollow Point Bullet LAWSUIT and the Coalition's general operations fund. REGISTER HERE: www.cnjfo.com/event-6546600

Included in your Sporting Clays package is a Gun For Hire Goody Bag, custom CNJFO-Lehigh t-shirt, coffee & tea, and our continental breakfast! Gas-powered golf carts transport all the scattergunners and their shotty's, along with thousands of rounds of birdshot, throughout the morning. Four-person squads that register together receive a discount. To register either a 4-person squad--OR--a single clay blaster, just hit the link above!

The beautifully manicured 100-bird, 17-station course features 34 presentations from all directions, uniquely built onto the abandoned limestone quarry that is Lehigh. Bring your own shells and shotgun--OR--rent your scattergun and buy the shells to feed it at their Pro Shop! Long gun experience is preferred but NO experience at Sporting Clays is required--we will mentor you!

The CNJFO 4-person squads will have a "shotgun start", reporting to the station of their assigned squad number, which keeps things moving. Ice cold water, relief stations throughout the picturesque venue and an ever-vigilant roving patrol of RSO's and maintenance teams keep all the throwers loaded and the course safe and enjoyable for all.

Lunch back at the pole barn will feature BBQ from the famously popular Grumpy's Roadhouse and a warm introduction by CNJFO Sporting Clays co-chair and Trustee Armen Varjabedian. As lunch winds down, Varjabedian will hold the door prize segment along with the silent auction. Fun for the whole family! To register click on the link provided in the first paragraph!

Prizes from sponsors are generously accepted at this time. Please contact Sporting Clays Chair Armen Varjabedian to arrange a pick-up. Sponsors are welcome to display their wares in the pole barn during breakfast and BBQ lunch!

CNJFO INSTRUCTS PUBLIC AT SOLD OUT DIVERSITY SHOOT!
VOLUNTEERS TEACH PROPER GUN HANDLING AT WESHOOT!
by Black Wire Media Friday May 22, 2026 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Tony Simon held his educational The 2nd is for Everyone: Diversity Shoot last Thursday evening at WESHOOT in Lakewood, NJ. Simon's program, now in its 11th year, is open to all regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion and everything else used by the Anti's to divide the 2A community. CNJFO Trustee Jim Howard outlined all of the activities CNJFO is involved in, both legal and social / fundraising. Howard's stack of index cards used to mention cases and fundraising endeavors has grown since last year. Your organization is fighting harder than ever and Howard asked for people to become members and volunteers to help get things done. The cases are active in both the 3rd Circuit and US Supreme Court. We also helped attorney Alan Beck and the Hawaii 2A organization he represents with their vampire law.

A pizza party is part of every Diversity Shoot, with folks chatting about their fi****ms experience and why they wish to train. As this is happening our instructors are organizing their assigned shooting ports making sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable shooting experience.

CNJFO volunteer firearm instructors Chris Wilson, Sergio Harris, Mark Garahan, Angelo Yacone and CNJFO Trustees Jim Howard and Nick Wong once again ran the shooting ports. A sold-out crowd was accommodated. Participants shot several handguns in various calibers from many manufacturers, including Sig, Staccato, G***k, Smith & Wesson, R***r and many others. Chris Wilson's Henry .357 lever-action loaded with soft-shooting .38 Specials, and Jim Howard's new 5.56mm Henry lever action thrilled all those that shot them!

All proved very accurate and easy to use for shooters with and without experience. Fun was had by everyone as proper stance and breathing combined with superior gun handling and trigger control ruled the evening. Gun handling and safety is taught at every Diversity Shoot, starting with a safety lecture in the classroom by founder Tony Simon.

The learning continues on the firing line by our CNJFO volunteer Instructors. Our volunteers bring their own fi****ms and Simon brings arms that were donated to the program by manufacturers.

Thursday May 21st was the sixth Diversity Shoot for the 2026 calendar year. We were delighted to see several new shooters, both male and female, as well as some "regulars". The fun and camaraderie is palpable no matter the experience level of the participants, proving that this program appeals to a wide audience!

The seventh Diversity Shoot of the new season will be held on Thursday June 4, 2026 at Recoil NJ. Tickets to this Shoot are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/o/tony-simon-17147414519 .

Donations, both monetary and in ammo, can be donated to the program, which is applying for non-profit status. For further info please go to www.DiversityShoot.com .

An offshoot of the nationally famous Women For Gun Rights 501(c)4 lobbying organization, they "intend to provide training in Stop The Bleed courses, and facilitate accessibility to advanced first aid kits, such as tourniquets in communities throughout New Jersey with volunteers and donors."

SC ARMS GRAND OPENING DRAWS A HUGE CROWD!
JAMESBURG STORE TO PROVIDE CNJFO FUTURE MEETING SITE!
by Black Wire Media Mon. May 18, 2026 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

CNJFO sponsor Derek Pitera, President of SC Arms at 36 W. Railroad Ave. Jamesburg, NJ, together with Jamesburg, NJ Mayor Thomas Emens, cut the ribbon officially opening Pitera's greatest retail achievement thus far, a 7,000 sq. foot Second Amendment destination superstore. The Grand Opening gala, which was held from noon till 6pm last Saturday, included UFC fighters taking photo and autograph requests, local vendors, hot sports cars on display, food trucks selling their wares and DJ entertainment. CNJFO was invited to set up a membership table and we thank Pitera for the opportunity to provide community outreach to southwestern Middlesex County.

The new facility features a "Guntry Club" feel, complete with an upstairs classroom for fi****ms training which Pitera said CNJFO could use for a Meet & Greet in the future. Built in the late 1800's as a bank, SC Arms hopes to eventually offer drive-thru service to his customers. There's ample parking in the lot behind the fully renovated building as well as on-street parking. Coffee, pizza, Thai, and several other businesses are on the same block. The business community is happy for the additional retail opportunities that SC Arms provides.

CNJFO is proud to partner with Derek and has been with him since his first store opened in Old Bridge, NJ many years ago. We congratulate his achievement and look forward to hosting a Meet & Greet in the near future! For more info check the website at https://shop.scarms.com/

NJ ST. FEDERATION OF SPORTSMAN AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS!
RUBSAM AND EDERY ARE THE 2026 PROGRAM RECIPIENTS!
by Black Wire Media Mon. May 18, 2026 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Last Friday evening May 15, 2026, at the statewide meeting of the New Jersey State Federation of Sportsman's Clubs held at Assunpink Wildlife Management Area Conservation Center, NJSFSC Scholarship Committee co-chairs Ray Seborowski, 1st VP of the Monmouth Co. Chapter, and Jeff Wren, Middlesex Co. Chapter President, awarded two college scholarships to college freshmen Samantha Rubsam and Paul Edery. NJSFSC President Wade Stein gaveled the meeting to order and then introduced Jeff Wren and Ray Seborowski for the formal presentation to the two college freshmen. Rubsam is atending Delaware and Edery is going to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in upstate New York. Both happily accepted their scholarships and thanked all those present.

This is the second year this scholarship award, designed by Seborowski and Wren to bolster additional interest in the great outdoors by young people, has been bestowed. Declining numbers in the hunting ranks, especially in this demographic--high school and college age young adults--has led to concern for future conservation budgets. This scholarship program initiative is not only a way of showcasing how great the Jersey outdoors are, but also that help with college or Trade School is available.

Each scholarship recipient had to submit an application along with a 500-700 word essay, maintain a B+ or 3.5 GPA, be an outdoorsman or woman with a current CID number (valid hunting / fishing license holder), and be active in hunting, fishing, trapping or other outdoor sports, as well as be enrolled in college or trade school to be eligible.

The New Jersey State Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs is a group of outdoor enthusiasts that maintain hunting, fishing, and trapping are vital resources in natural conservation. They represent more than 150,000 hunters, trappers and fishermen throughout the state of New Jersey and support local chapters at the county level. The right to keep and bear arms is in their mission statement. CNJFO is proud to partner with them to protect the Second Amendment.

The purpose of the NJSFSC is to create an awareness and encourage the people of New Jersey to have a commitment in the wise use and management of our natural resources. This includes the belief that sport hunting of game species and lawful trapping are valuable tools in the management and preservation of a healthy wildlife population.
