❤️‍🩹A HEARTFELT PLEA FOR BRUNO❤️‍🩹

This weekend was a reminder of what “rescue” means to PDFR. We got the call. We changed our schedules. We got in the car. We captured. We cried. We saved a life.

We will never truly know the real stories about how dogs end up being abandoned, neglected, and failed by humans. But Bruno’s story goes like this… Bruno had owners at one time, and when they relocated, Bruno was left behind. Since then, he has been living under a parked car near his former home in Stockton for the last three months in severe heat. A friendly neighbor has been trying to get help for Bruno for quite some time, but her calls have been unanswered… until now.

This video is hard to watch. But Bruno is safe now with us. When the vet offices open this morning, we will be the first callers in line to get him a check up, full blood work, flea and tick treatment, and any additional care he may need for sores that we have spotted. Bruno is severely underweight and his skin is raw from where he had to lay on the hot pavement on one side as the mats were consuming him.

We are estimating that his vet bill will be approximately $600, with additional fees for neuter and an extensive grooming.

Bruno’s final vet bill will be posted after his confirmed appointment. As of right now, we are trying to get ahead of the donation process.

🧇 WAFFLES HAS BEEN FOSTERED 🧇

❤️🥹 Today was a special morning for our sweet wobbly Waffles! He was picked up and went to his new foster family! His foster family didn’t waste any time putting in their application, and we are beyond grateful they have opened their hearts and their home to continuing his care. 💙

It is going to be an adjustment not seeing his sweet face every day, but we know that this was the right decision for the best possible outcome.

No worries tho Peachy Fam! We will still continue to give Waffles updates as we get them! Let’s continue to cheer Waffles on during his new journey, and welcome this beautiful family into our Peachy family! 🍑🫶🏻💕

🎉🐾 Frankie has been ADOPTED! 🐾🎉

His application came in so quickly, and the family was the perfect match! They’re already completely in love with him—and they live just ONE MILE from the rescue! 🏡❤️

Even sweeter? Our kiddos go to school together, so this goodbye feels more like a “see you around!” 🥹

We can’t wait to watch Frankie grow, flourish, and enjoy life with his forever family. Happy tails, sweet boy! 🍑🐶

❤️🧇WAFFLES UPDATE🧇❤️ Long Term Foster Needed! (Fostered!)

Look at our Waffles GO! We are so happy to share with you all that Waffles has slowly continued to show us progress in his mobility! One thing is for sure, this puppy is a fighter, and he is not giving up as long as we aren’t giving up. 💪

🐶 What we know now is that his infection is not bone related, and it is more likely that his nerves and hind muscles were affected the most. Since Waffles’ diagnosis is still undetermined, UC Davis has suggested that we continue his powerhouse of antibiotics for a period of 6 months. As long as Waffles is continuing to show progress, the vet has instructed that antibiotics and rehabilitation are going to be his key to survival and overcoming his wobble.

PDFR is currently seeking a long term foster or foster-to-adopt family that will be able to give Waffles the time, attention, and care that is going to be needed the next few months. Our team is working with Waffles daily, however with so many dogs needing our attention, it is harder for us to dedicate more time to Waffles to help achieve a full recovery.

Responsibilities of a foster family include administering daily medications, providing basic home rehab, potty training, and of course giving all the love and snuggles. 💙 PDFR will provide all medications, food, and any needed supplies while fostering.

Let’s officially welcome Frankie to Peachy Day Farms Rescue!

Frankie’s story had a rough beginning, but we hope we can give him the ending he deserves. ❤️ Frankie was found in Stockton wandering the streets when his sister got tragically hit by a car. Frankie’s rescuer could not bear to leave him with the same fate. She took Frankie in and got him all of the necessary care he needed to continue living a healthy life, including vaccines and neuter.

Frankie has been in a home the past 6 months and these are the notes we were left with when Frankie was surrendered to us this morning.
