The Cullman Police Department is reminding dog owners across Alabama to review the requirements of Beau’s Law (Senate Bill 361) before it takes effect on October 1, 2026. The law mandates that owners provide adequate food and potable water to prevent starvation or dehydration, and requires outdoor shelters to feature a roof, walls, a floor, proper ventilation, and sufficient space for the dog to stand, turn around, lie down, and extend its limbs. Outdoor enclosures must be fully fenced, while tethering rules prohibit logging chains, choke collars, and pinch collars, requiring stationary tethers to utilize a dual-swivel trolley system attached to a proper collar or harness. Violations carry escalating misdemeanor penalties ranging from a Class C misdemeanor (up to 3 months in jail and a $500 fine) for a first offense to a Class A misdemeanor (up to 1 year in jail and a $6,000 fine) for third and subsequent offenses. Statutory exceptions apply to veterinary practices, animal shelters, boarding kennels, dog training, service animals, grooming facilities, and dogs on a leash.

Just so you know Pet Patrol 209 is not allowing the rescue to post on their site. Don’t bother tagging us to save or trap your beloved pets.

Holy Moly we have 13 puppies to be adopted. They are almost 7 weeks old. Now we are taking applications. Please look at these photos. Are they not the cutest dogs you’ve ever seen if you go on our website you can pick out which one you would like make an appointment to come visit.

We do not do DNA testing since it would be $100 per pup.

All vetting will be done before the dogs can be adopted!! All homes must be approved first
