Many do not know that HIM was founded upon our local churches who saw a need in our community over 40 years ago. A need to feed the children and families in need. A need to feed those who needed a leg up in this world for a moment. A need to serve others as Jesus did. For years our local churches have built HIM into the nonprofit organization that it is today solely off of donations. Our community has joined forces with our churches to in our area. Today, we thank our community, and all of the hands and hearts that the donated food touches, and The Henderson News for sharing our story and HIMs critical needs. Everyone is feeling the pinch, but if everyone does a little it equals a lot.

What a blessing! Reconnections and bread! We serve an amazing God, and He’s so loving and merciful for bringing us together like only He can. 🥰

We are so grateful for this bread and the journey this bread has made. Thank you to Pastor Jason and all of the hands it took to make it to HIM! May God bless you all for your selfless dedication to serve! 🙏🏻🫶🏼

✨Thank you is never enough to our community. Because of your donations, a family did not go hungry today. That is the ultimate blessing. 🫶🏼

Pastor Jason Sparks took a load of bread to the HIM Food pantry this morning!
We have a few people we want to thank that made this possible❤️
The bread was donated by Bimbo in Shreveport. Transportation and delivery was provided by Messiah Baptist Church of Timpson, and First Christian Church of Henderson. Pastor Jason was so happy to reconnect with Monica Reynolds at HIM! He has known her family all his life!! So awesome!❤️🥰
