Tonight was had a visit from retired Chief Troy Maness. He presented the East Helena Volunteer Fire Department with a legacy award for securing $100,000 dollars for the Blood Cancer United organization. Chief Maness has been serving as the Ambassador for the state of Montana. He has participated in the Seattle stair climb numerous times. CHIEF maness and team have worked tirelessly to help this worthy cause. Thank you Chief Maness.

Tonight was one the nights a Chief loves to have. I had the honor of awarding F/F EMT Zion Smith with the 2025 Firefighter of the year. Zion has been an absolute joy to have as a member of our department. A dedicated, hard working person willing to always jump in to help. Congratulations Zion and we are proud to have you as a member of our team.

This morning we had the honor of providing an es**rt out of town to our own East Helena High School Vigilante wrestlers as they departed for state. Join me in wishing them all safety and the best of luck. Go Vigilantes!!!!!

I would like to take a quick time out and thank the members of our department for helping out with the Special Olympics Passion Plunge today. Also I would like to toss a huge shout out to our friends at Baxendale Volunteer Fire for helping out as well. With them helping out the plungers we able to support this more than amazing events. Thank you all and we hope to see you again next year.

Spent the day with my friend who also drives a red vehicle. Another Heros and Helpers in the books. Thanks to all the helpers. So many agencies and our friends from Valley Bank and Home Depot.

Thursday Night the members participated as we do every year in the East Helena Christmas Stroll. As the Chief, I am extremely proud of this group and the efforts they put forward for the community. We had many laughs, carolers singing, hot chocolate, and popcorn for all. Thanks to the community for coming out and visiting with us.
